Zambia has jumped 16 places on the latest FIFA rankings released today.
Honour Janza’s side has moved from 78 in October to number 62 following their successful 2015 Africa Cup qualification this month in which they won their last three successive Group F games.
Zambia’s position is the sides’ best placing in 2014 after starting the year at number 69.
Meanwhile, Zambia are 15th in Africa behind fallen giants Egypt at number 60 while their fellow COSAFA representatives at the 2015 Africa Cup South Africa are 11th on the CAF rankings at number 51st in the World.
Algeria are Africa’s top club at number 18 followed by Tunisia (22), Cote d’Ivoire (24),Senegal (35), Ghana (37), Guinea (38), Cape Verde (39), Cameroon (14), Nigeria (42) and Mali 49).
Viva Janza…go on, put your name down on the PF presidential adoption list. You stand a better chance of winning the presidency especially if we start well in the AFCON finals early next year. Hope the games are played just before 20th of January 2014.

these caf ratings are rubbish. you know very well that nigeria is rubbish but you still put it on top. why? when we were african champions, they still placed us uko ukutali and not on top. i know some will say it is about average performance and consistency but look at it carefully and you will see what i mean. some teams are inconsistent but are still placed at the top. zambians rating should be higher than nigeria and senegal!!!!

Doesn’t FIFA and its continental affiliates have mathematicians to help them place teams correctly?
How can non-performing teams be ahead of teams that have progressed well and accumulated points in their favour? I don’t see logic in FIFA rankings, only a semi-randomness.
FIFA confusion presented in these rankings! Why is it so difficult for teams to discern what their ranking would be before FIFA does their own rankings??? Everything is shrouded in secrecy purely zero transparency! Amazing

Country men and women , Fifa rankings are purely computerized and automated statistical process that calculates and allocates positions are according to the power rankings of the teams they play with with corresponding results .It is highly ignorant to assume that individuals gives rankings to the teams .There people who are able to calculate Fifa rankings and get they right before they are officially released .

Haaa poor Zambians always want to argue on straightforward things. EL is on ???? HH is on bottom. PF has done a lot in three years.
