The parallel extra-ordinary Patriotic Front (PF) conference has elected Miles Sampa as their Party President and candidate for the 2015 presidential by-elections.
Deputy Commerce Minister Miles Sampa, who on saturday had withdrawn from the race, polled 900 votes and his closest rival, Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba, polled 195 votes and the First Lady Christine Kaseba polled 20 votes. Bob Sichinga polled 7 votes and Selemani Phangula Banda polled 4 votes. Edgar Lungu’s name was still on the ballot and he polled 5 votes.
Earlier in the morning, PF national chairperson, Inonge Wina obtained an injunction ordering that the parallel national conference in Kabwe to be stopped.
The injunction had further ordered that if the conference continued, those behind it risk being cited for contempt of court. It stated that no nomination, adoption or election of any candidate should go ahead after the injunction.
However, Acting President Guy Scott said that he had not received a copy of an injunction to restrain him from holding a parallel general congress. A surprised Dr. Scott said he had not seen or heard about the court order intended to stop him from proceeding with the general conference.
The Acting President was responding to a question from journalists who wanted to know whether he was aware of an injunction issued by the Lusaka High Court stopping him from proceeding with the parallel general conference.
And Suspended Chairperson for elections, Sylvia Masebo said she was not aware of the injunction and that she had not been served with a copy of the same.
The ex-parte order has been drawn by Mweemba Chashi and Associate on behalf of PF national chairperson Inonge Wina to PF secretary general Bridget Atanga.
You people are not serious, you want to give this to Money Banda?
Miles is the youngest Presidential candidate with experience in government and private sector. He is the most suitable candidate. Others are on the verge of retirement (as HH said that he will reverse the retirement age to 55, he has confirmed that 55 is the right age for public service. HH is already 53 years old and he is not fit to be put in responsible job and then look for another one in 2016.) or already passed superannuation age (RB). Viva Miles Sampa. We are proud of you. Friends from Kalomo.
I thought the PF constitution requires somebody to have at least 200 supporters, 20 from each province, to qualify to stand for an election? How come Bashi NONO only got 7 votes including his own vote.
Is this what the PhD holder Guy Scott calls following the constitution to the letter and no short cuts? And with the only 1000 out of the potential 5000 delegates, can Guy Scott claim to have had formed the needed electoral college to even conduct these elections?
I have serious doubt about this PhD holder’s leadership skills. This whole thing has been a sham. Scott may have book skills, but he has no people skills and he has been exposed big time. You are making some of us PhD holders look really bad, man
If anybody was in any doubt about the existence and machinations of the M’membe lead “cartel” here is the unequivocal evidence. And as usual the emotional empty tins have been all out attacking Edgar Lungu as a problem causer in the PF while M’membe is snatching power right under their noses. How can Ba PF Kaponyas vote for Miles Sampa who didn’t even have a single backing from any MP, or member of the MCC?
You made a mistake in 2011 and Zambians are about to hand power back to M’membe and his cartel.
I shall say this again. Zambia will only start to develop when Zambians begin to think and make well informed decisions as opposed to emotionally lead decisions.
Vote wisely in Jan 2015.
Kekekekekeke, President Edgar Lungu got 5 votes? These PF knows how to insult each other.
How can Miles Sampa be a president, that is the worst insult after when Mpombo was once acting president.
My question is what was the point of Dr Christine Kaseba filing for nomination without even ever stepping foot at either of the conferences? Are there any journalists in Zambia to ask and ascertain what her position is on what is going on in her party? If not can any one of you bloggers help? Whose side is she on now?
I thought that the PF drama movie ended when Sata died,”MHSRIP”, but we just getting the part 2 in the title of, “The Scary Resurrected Scott at the Helm with dead Brains”. This is so fricky, coz it’s real horror in real time…..
Sadly, this affects all the opposition political parties. How do you keep campaigning without knowing your opponent? While campaigning involves manifestos, it also involves personally attacking an individuals’ credibility, weaknesses and personality. So far, UPND and MMD have no such individual to roast in PF.
I pity all of you saying this is HH’s to lose. PF is still very popular and they know it. Whomever is going to contest on PF’s ticket as presidential candidate will win. Mark my words. I have had a opportunity of polling people, bonafide electorates and they all say they’re not voting for HH. We can all come here and put in out two cents but we are only 1% of the Zambian population with internet access. Sad but true!
Thank you Miles for stepping up to the challenge. We have another Young Obama. The naysayers and haters will always talk just like the republicans did with Obama but he succeeded.
Viva Miles Sampa
@Chils; please do not disrespect Obama like that!
Edgar Lungu is a leader who may not get to State House if he plays nice with PF. It is substantive unconscionability for him to be tossed around like this but his biggest problem emanates from some in his following who are making it hard for him to navigate with agility.
He can still get to State House using a reverse merger sequence. The current system is broken and the judiciary is not going to offer much so a reverse merger is the only way he can stand and win if at all he is that popular.
If indeed he has the support of 70 MPs, he can then build a campaign around each of these as Campaign Managers in each constituency they represent. Each of these MP will rally their members in their districts, wards and at constituency level and solicit votes for him.
But since the current flawed constitution requires that a presidential candidate be sponsored by a political party and it is becoming very evident that PF will not let him since they just elected Miles Sampa, he has to find a surrogate and that’s where a “reverse merge sequence” comes in.
As a former investment banker myself, I fully understand how Lungu can use that sequence in a similar way to achieve the objective of filing paperwork with ECZ within the shortest possible time, and hit the campaign trails.
A reverse merger (also known as a reverse takeover or reverse IPO) is a way for private companies to go public, typically through a simpler, shorter, and less expensive process.
In Lungu’s case, he would find a shell party willing to take him up as its presidential…
PF here is the truth for your party.
1. Scott and Lungu you should sit down and sort out the mess you both have created. Otherwise you are causing unnecessary troubles for our country
2. failure to considering this option above just go your separate ways and each one of you have a party and have a presidential candidate
3. Non of you you will win these fourth coming elections as Zambians have seen through your childish schemes
5. Zambia is bigger than both of you, therefore just behave
Such a shell could be FDD, NAREP, UNIP, etc … not that I would like my party UNIP involved but for the sake of this topic under review you can fill in the blanks as whatever party he would use.
High level talks would then nominate him and of course he would cut deals with the owners of the party to offer them the vice presidency etc. Then he would sign a memorandum of understanding with each MP not to quit PF right now except in 2016 in readiness for the general election.
If MPs remain on PF ticket, that would save the country some money for new by-elections but the MoU would assure these MP of new Cabinet positions once he wins the election, it would also assure Chipimo or Nawakwi or Kaunda a VP position should he win the election.
With this strategy he would be in the running for State House, cut his losses with PF and just trust the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise for a vote if he is that popular.
Then that would leave PF with their candidate MS who I think would be a fresh and young face aspiring for the highest office, HH for UPND, RB or NM for MMD, GM for Heritage and then we all stand and listen to whoever has the best agenda for the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise.
Disclaimer: I have no vested interest in any candidate, my duty is to the republic. Investment banker fees are exorbitant but I offer my consultancy for free so that I can wake up from this succession nightmare. I would like us to look forward to victory, that’s what we do … we are Zambians for crying out loud!!!
Ise ni kaminamisa chabe
MY MY MY !MY PROPHESY HAS COME TO PASS .THE UGLY MONSTER HAS 2 HEADS
SPLIT… SPLIT… SPLIT
@B R Mumba, Sr……… gosh! man! what you going on about? You’re so full of warped ideas. We’re talking politics here! Give it up!
Miles Sampa argued that the removal of subsidies was to save money to help the poor on muvi tv assignment. So the question I would like to ask Sampa , Lungu and all PF supporters is;
Why are poor small scale farmers not being paid?
Why are poor student not being paid?
Why are poor students being left out of bursaries?
These are the questions PF will need to answer. Even if farmers are paid as a last minute vote buying bribery, only the f00lish ones will vote PF.
@BR Mumba – Seeing as Lungu has already been handed the nomination certificate to run as the PF candidate in the January 20 election by the PF Chairperson, Inonge Wina, shouldn’t it be Sampa who should be worried about how he will represent the same party?
You’re also forgetting one ‘small’ matter called the court injunction stopping Sampa’s ‘election’ which would amount to contempt of court if it is followed through.
Murky waters indeed!
Is Miles Sampa standing as Zambian President or Matero President for PF? I think PF has lost the will to carry on. They had 9 candidates thinking that they were expected to field presidential candidate for each township in Lusaka. They were infact worried that they were short of candidates for all townships. Now their candidates have been narrowed down to 2. Just waht’s going on and how were these guys running the country? We need a Government of National Unity (GNU) to galvanised the polarised nation of Zambia and possibly a commission of enquiry to probe into the events leading to the ailing of Sata, eventual demise and post events. Zambia will never be the same again until we can address this issue.
Amen to that … God is in total control
@One Hit Wonder … A couple fails to conceive, an OBGYN advises them to use a surrogate parent for their child. They end up with their own flesh and blood using somebody’s body. This works in medicine!
A reverse merger uses a shell, an already existing enterprise to achieve the same objective as the one used in medicine but in this case in investment banking. The same theory can be used for politics my friend. Warped ideas!??? Ignorance is bliss ….
Ba Ricky Bobby:
It’s EL who needs to use this … I still don’t trust the judiciary in Zambia. Remember Chief Justice Ngulube? What happens if at the inter-party hearing it’s proved that Bo Inonge’s presiding over EL’s nomination was illegal since the delegates list verification was incomplete? Anything is possible.
@Nostradamus MDB 2014 (Most Demented Blogger 2014)
I see that readership as gone down at LT. Whereas views were over 5,000 on a given day, they are below half for a good story. This is because of chaps like Nostradamus who haul insults at others. They also lack reasoning depth in their comments. LT better take note of this. It is a great forum, only if it could weed out lunatics like this boy.
Ba Rcky Bobby, continued ….
If the court comes up with that scenario and it ends up being proven that the only verified delegates list is the one GS presided over, then EL ends up with 5 votes and MS is declared winner.
Bo Inonge’s Certificate of Nomination becomes null and void especially that if I remember correctly it is supposed to be issued by the secretary of the party in this case Atanga not the National Chairperson in this case Bo Inonge.
Look, there are just way too many moving parts in this advanced calculus scenario that a holistic approach is required not simple cadre mentality. Besides, if he really has the support from 70 MPs, I would trust the judgment of the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise than anything/body else and go reverse merger to State House.
It’s a catch 22 for EL, but since the matter is in court I can’t elaborate further. We wait and see the outcome this Friday … I just want to wake up from this succession nightmare and have my Zambia back.
One Zambia, One Nation
Ba Scott ni disgrace imwe!
CONTEMPT OF COURT
Today Guy and Miles with their concubine Silvia will taste the bitter part of the law. Ignoring a court injunction is like spitting in the face of a Judge. We are living a constitutional democracy where “the crazy trio” can not plead ignorance of the law.
The court messenger who took the court order was harassed and possibly the document destroyed. That is equally a grave offence.
The Police knew about the court order but decided to also ignore the court and go ahead dancing the night away with the crazy trio. The convention will go down in Zambia’s history as one tainted with criminality and lawlessness.
We have been vindicated. Guy Scott indeed wants the nation to go into flames and like his counterparts, doesn’t care who is injured or dies! Cage them!
My friends , do you think Guy Scott is afraid of your toothless courts, don’t forget that he is president. Ask Alunngu who is still beginning to be given back instruments of power which he will never get till his dying day , Miles Sampa is a far better candidate than Lungu, far more sensable and reasonable . Now it is HH vs Sampa, may the best man win.
I tell you Scott did remarkable job, now PF is mighty again. He had the choice of whether to listen to fools or give the party a strong president who could ensure the party lives on, I think he made the right choice.
Zambia is up for grabs. Naba Miles to be elected PF president! Guy Scott is the biggest idiot and loser here. From the beginning ka Guy, ”pig stealing minister” had an hidden agenda. God is good, we are for you EL all the way!!!
I have always known that Scott has a screw loose especially when answering questions in Parliament every Friday. He took a mickey on the Zambian people, he knows how useless we are since we are all armchair critics. He has shown the Pf members how useless he is like all of them. I would love to blame Scott or Sampa but imagine that Sampa can even vie for Presidency. It speaks volumes about every Zambian.
PF PLEASE UNITE, IF YOU LOSE ELECTIONS BECAUSE OF SELFISHNESS. YOU WILL NEVER BOUNCE BCK INTO POWER AND MOREOVER YOU UNDERSTAND VERY WELL WHT IT MEANS TO BE IN OPPOSITION.
SCOT IS A WHITEMAN.
Forward with Miles Sampa
Vote for prosperity
Vote for continuity with change
Vote for the bright and young
@Katondo boys, so true, Sampa will make headstart and bring development to the province he grew up in as he will do across the country. He is vibrant and energetic leader with experience in government and private sector alike. Viva PF, Viva the second youngest President (after KK ) of the republic of Zambia.
Young, bright And foolish!!! I will donate six taxis to Matero area so that he doesn’t get more than Hundred votes from his backyard
This marks the beginning of the down fall of once the strongest party in our country.
Nangu ni sangwapo. te ifi iyo.
With all due respect to Miles Sampa, I don’t think he’s a credible candidate or presidential material. He needs more experience. He has some powerful people rallying behind him for their own personal gains and not for the country. HH play your cards right. This could be your chance to sink this party to the bottom of Luapula River.
Hon. Miles Sampa has more experience than HH. HH has never worked in private sector (other than consultant to get information, bind in a fancy binder and handover to authorities) and he has no exposure to government. RB has passed his superannuation age. Viva PF, Viva Miles Sampa. Friends from Kalomo.
It only shows that Guy Scott doesn’t respect the laws of mother Zambia. If he can twist and turn people his boss trusted, who the heck are you cadres who were paid to cast a void vote! Think twice……
Now it is clear that Scott means no good. he said 3000 is the acceptable number but he goes with 1007. so lungu has 3993 votes.
Yes I agree with you, the numbers don’t add up here to what was said is acceptable by GS. However, it would have been nice if we also had exact numbers from the Lungu camp instead of people just lifting up their hands. If the Lungu camp had probably followed this route, despite the other candidates not being present, instead of being declared a sole candidate, we would have seen more credibility in their camp. This would have enabled some us mere observers to make informed analysis and convulsions. As it is now and as I see it, we have wrongs from both sides here and two wrongs don’t make a right.
That’s Y Sata ws not givin Scott 2act. He knew who He is. Mwamona efyo alecita?Nowonda HH said He’s de most stupid white Man we hav. SA n Malawi r laughning at us dat 50yrs afta independence,We hav a descendant of colonial mastaz. Who’s Miles under 5 Sampa ukututeka. He once withdrew frm de race, then change hs smo mind n come bak. Pf beniko serious, namusala kale Edger Kabotolo Lungu, umwine nangu akolwe kwati niku Mulungushi milo alabomba. Thx.
U keep on repeating the same things. Please let us have something new.
This parallel structure will die a slow and painful death. Its insignificant to PF as the majority of pf will campaign for lungu and not sampa. If pf splits lungu gets the name and majority of the members. Sampa and guy utter losers.
If you continue with that HH is carrying the day.
Obama, HAVARD, MS, HAVARD! What a coincidence!
God has finally answered our prayers.
@Luapula Premier, the Harvard that MS claims is some online certification which most people with post graduate degrees can attend. Miles Sampa has a degree in Agriculture from UNZA. You cannot compare Barack Obama to Miles Sampa. That man is too pompous to be president. I dont even know what makes him tick.
Miles Sampa attended a two weeks program at Harvard called the senior executive fellows program. He is not an alumni of Harvard as two weeks does not get you to be considered as a former student. That said his two weeks program was intense as any two weeks of study can turn very intense at Harvard. So while he may be associated to Harvard, he certainly is not Harvard like Obama who has a PhD in Laws. If Miles applied for an academic program at Harvard he would have had to pass through a very stringent vetting process starting with an expectation of him holding previous degrees awarded at distinction or merit, 5-8 exception essays, 3 very strong references, GMAT or GRE scores at the 90th percentile and a very strong CV. Getting into Harvard is not like rigging your way to the PF Presidency.
I don’t know about Miles…he is popular in my neighborhood. ..George compound. …but he is not Presidential material
This is what all the newspapers have been saying. ..and what Scott has done is an insult to all peace loving Zambians and he won’t get away with it…Edgar Lungu is the people’s choice .
We need to resolve this by at least Wednesday or else
Twala filila munsenga. …..
2015 vote PF ( Edgar)
I thank you
Katondo I am so happy that we have at least 2 reasonable candidates to choose from on 20th January, HH or Miles Sampa , I cant even decide which one I will choose , both are acceptable to me. Whichever wins I am happy.
I need to celebrate this
This débâcle should serve as a lesson to the country why political parties should be entities built on shared values and not personal ambition. Clearly the protagonists in this unseemly power struggle care more about themselves than the party and what it represents. There is no turning back now, PF is dead.
This a sad day for mother Zambia. UPND guys think this doesn’t concern them, but this is why shld be concerned, if Guy Scott cld manipulate the whole process to have his preferred candidate win , then what makes you think he stop only with PF elections and will be honest with 20 15 bye election. So u just being like like GBM, Kabwili and Lubinda who thought GS was doing everything in their interest but to come and realise too late they are just ” usefull ediots”. so wake up my friends. if PF file Miles chances of HH winning is Zero, but with EL standing its mean the game will be fair since GS wont be biased or wont have any interest in HH or EL. again if EL team decides to go to the street its u and me who will be affected most . innocent lives will be lost and properties will be…
Hamuntu
You said it right…this should also serve as an eye opener to our brothers in UPND…..or whatever party ….
Scott is very corrupt. ..if PF wins ..let it win genuinely. .or if UPND wins let it win genuinely. …but with people like Scott running the affairs of the country. ..i don’t see any fair elections in January. .
Scott said he is not worried about HH getting all the endorsements…..” wakhungu akati ndikutema. .ndiko kuti aponda pamwala”
Sad sad sad…..Scott will do a donchi kubeba…
2015 vote PF
I thank you
14 @hamuntu I agree with you. Am also wondering how #TeamLungu will react to this news. Kambwili pulled out because of illegalities in the accreditation system. Lubinda, on the other hand, pulled out because he couldn’t support a process that was splitting the party. To be honest am not so much bothered about the Lubinda issue but rather Kambwili’s concern. It is very worrying that this is happening but not surprising. My concern is what will happen on 20. January or rather what is being done in preparation of the presidential elections? God save my country.
If Lungu brings his thugs to the street, we will battle them. Zambia does not belong to Lungu and his criminals. Zambians have the right to vote for whoever they want without being threatened with a fake anointed one.
THAT CLUB CALLED PF SHOULD BE DE-REGISTERED ON NATIONAL SECURITY GROUNDS.
#Silumba-sa-Sata, are you sure you can fight cadres from comfort of your office or using your laptop/ipad/phone. This is how thing like last killing in Kenya or Rwanda start. Do you know that last time when Lungu was fired as SG, where a number of reported riots. The truth of the matter is Lungu has a lot of support on grass root. Look at what happen, the original conference was organised and coordinated by GS team, but once they reach at MU, the whole place was turned into EL rally. so the fight in PF is between poor and the rich, unfortunately, poor are in number ( even our ZP is not enough to control them). so the current situation need alot of wisdom and to be sober minded.
Sorry bwana @Hamuntu, anybody employing UNIP tactics is not welcome in this day and age.
@Hamuntu,this is the real analysis of the whole situation at hand!arThe problem, the majority of us(Zambians) do not analyse issues and foresee the likely outcome of long before things happen! Scott knows Zambian’s get excited with out analysis that is why some are praising him. Scott’s adamant position of “imposing” a candidate of his preference rather than a popular one means that as a person at the control of state machinery,he will go flat out to ensure his agenda of having a candidate imposed by the minority to serve sectional interests succeeds. That is why for him, what the majority say in PF doesn’t matter because he has his own scheme of getting a PF President after 20th January 2015 to protect his interests. As you and others have observed that is a recipe for chaos and…
Scott. ..when you called Lubinda a dog…HH said ndiwe muzungu opusa….
HH is UPND and Lubinda PF
this shows that when it comes to things that matter. ..Zambians always get together and support each other regardless of political affiliation….don’t bring confusion. …what you have done is illegal and you know it….Ndiwe muzungu wabwanji kansi iwe….na nsoni ulibe….
Edgar is PF presidential candidate. …period
2015 vote PF (Edgar)
I thank you
Good morning Mr Katondo boys. Thank you for realizing that there are men of integrity and good reasoning and those who are useless!!! Our courts of law should even arrest them all for court contempt!! Contribute well today just like you done, Good day.
Katondo you must be from eastern province, I see you are not a PF supporter you are an Edgar Lungu supporter. Miles Sampa has higher chances of winning than Edgar Lungu so with Miles PF is more likely to remain in power, so why are u disappointed. Only yesterday you were chanting PF slogans.
Now even “children” want to be presidents…KIKIKIKIKIKI
I have developed nausea for Pf. Will vote for HH. With court injunctions, pf has become toothless and irrelevant.
Jubilie
I don’t blame you …this is sad
But wait and see how things work out by Wednesday. ..
2015 vote PF ( Edgar)
I thank you
Mutiny in the ruling party of the Republic of Zambia. Well, they will not be the ruling party for very long, it seems like..
@Hamuntu you are lying THERE WONT BE ANY BLOODSHED what is happening its GOD’S working to punish the PARTY WHICH WAS FORMED ON LIES.
@Katondo boys, EL is going NOWHERE its ONLY GOD WHO ANSWER PRAYERS, some FAITHFUL PRAYED and these are the RESULTS. NO MORE PF NO MATTER how THEY WILL TRY TO HOLD ON TO POWER it has already sliped frm them.
God is Great.
Anderson Chisala, do u know that even a coward when pushed so much to the limit, can react badly. so dont take for granted the peace loving nature of Zambians. Yes there wont be bloodshed if thing are done correctly. Now imagine, Miles Sampa winning on 20th January, do u think UPND (who already formed a shadow govt) will accept such results. The way Guy Scott is behaving its possible for MS to win over HH.God, yes do exist, but some of the bad happenings are own making (which we are intelligent enough to avoid, but greediness makes us blind to see the obvious ). So its always good not to bring God into our stupeddity .
Just refer Anderson Chisala to the song by Kenny Rogers “Coward of the County,” when a coward fights back. And they mean business. Even KK saw how the Zambian cowards fought him. Ask him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DONT WORRY ,EL IS COMING…
We who are for Zambia will leave the so called Panga Family in their confussion to fight each other on this Government controlled site called LT. we shall be visting it just to check how far the war has intensified to the advantage of our beloved Zambia…God is wonderful indeed.
Only a tonga must be a upnd president will spill to the nation If by any chance HH wins the the presidential elections. life in Zambia will be only a tonga can do and the good business, good and important jobs in government will for tonga’s. If you don’t have a tonga in executive position in your company, your company won’t get tenders. It will be
thats a lie, such negativity at your age is retrogressive. am not tonga but HH shall rule whether you like it or YES.
Stop lies! You conclusions are based on which thesis you undertook?? Whatever scams you create! We shall never go back to Panga Family!! We are going forward with HH and UPND because they make sense right now!!! Forwards ever and backwards Never !!! So go figure!! Better still go hug a mutaba tree!!! FYI I am totally Bemba but HH makes a lot of sense to me!!!
Less than 1200 voted far less minimum delegates of 3000 what a sham like stupid kambwili said? David Livingstone Scott is at it again at the mess of the cartel, shame shame bane
Call centre friend from Kalomo, kindly educate me on the 55 years of age. Is it meant for politician or civil servants? Is the position of presidency civil service or political one?
I would be elated to learn something from you.
Question:Prove that bembas exist in the bible
Solution: Everytime I differed with my bemba cousin, she would say” twalafilila munsenga” .
Implying,If it is not me or mine then I would rather spoil or kill
Now remember the story in bible of two women fighting over a child.
It suffices to say that the other woman must have been my bemba cousin because she wanted to spoil/kill the child. Hence the proof.
Seriously, It will take a king solomon(courts of law) to resolve who owns this pf baby(presidency)
THAT IS ONLY TRUE IF YOU YOURSELF TRUST THE COURTS OF LAW. YOU WILL BE THE FIRST ONE CYING CHIBESAKUNDA THIS CHIBESAKUNDA THAT.
At least Sampa hasn’t got hanging on his head ugly clouds of financial impropriety, drunkenness and unprofessional conduct like Lungu does. This makes him a more suitable candidate to lead PF. Lungu is a foreigner. Who wants another Malawian to misgovern our country again? It would be insane all over again to employ Lungu as president with his dismal record.
That’s why HH is the one we should have now. Put aside the nonsense of him being Tonga , we all belong to a tribe– that’s no issue. HH knows what is expected of him and he surely will deliver. PF has lamentably failed to provide leadership after MCS – sad as it maybe ; hence need for change. I am Bemba and getting on a bus and go Muchinga to campaign for HH. Enough is enough. Sampa has been put up to protect Satas’ and Kasebas’ nepotistic decisions/ appointments etc. We need to move away from this type of governance please. Elyo ci Scott is a tool being used to perpetuate f00lishness by Satas’/Kasebas’ family and the so called cartel of Meembe and Mutembo group. Winangu azalila this time around. No more nepotism/ tribalism nafimbi ifya bupuba.
Sampa is has obtained a Masters degree in cheating in a marriage; a doctorate degree in philandering; and just completed another PHD in womanising! That is quite a long list of qualifications for a presidential aspirant for a small country in the Southern part of Africa!! He will actually be holding free workshops soon on “How to score with as many women as possible within a short period of time,” for all Zambian men around the country.
I would rather be safe with a drunkard because what you see is what you get, rather than that arrogant, sly mother-fu..ker of a cheat/philander bastard !! EL for president!! Period !!
Viva Lungu.Miles is not decrared as a winner coz court order. Not only that Masebo failed to accredit required numbers of delagates which is 2,700 to hold a general conference.ha ha ha HH get prepared. It’s official now that It’s EL .We’ll mascare u guys come jan 2015
The PF has once again led Zambian political parties in demonstrating true democracy. Hon Miles Sampa brings a breath of fresh to presidential campaigns. He has worked as a provincial minister in Lusaka and Southern provinces, he has worked in the key ministries of finance and commerce, he is young and energetic. Zambia definitely needs a leader with such experience. In him the youth have an ally to address their many challenges. Viva Miles Sampa for 2015 Presidential election.
Viva Miles Sampa
The second convention had less than 5000 delegates because most of them were intimidated & harassed by the Lungu’s camp that was heavily armed. Another small pocket of delegates accompanied Lungu back to Lusaka after his fraudulent election. Moreover, even the first convention not all of those people clad in green were delegates. Most of them were thugs hired by the mafias supporting Lungu. You can’t have real delegates running around with pangas & missiles, stopping others who dont support Lungu from entering the venue. Chenda & Masebo were harassed & many others beaten by Lungu’s supporters. Lungu never condemned his violent thugs but encouraged them to intimidate anyone who doesnt support him. Therefore, it is only right to state that Lungu’s support thrives on…
Mile’s speech at that conference was quite a disappointment. But just like Zambian Watchdog had prophesied, here’s Miles,a cartel member.
The best description for Guy Scott is: THIS IS MOST USELESS BRITISH POLITICIAN UK HAS EVER EXPORTED TO AFRICA.
When the PF settled for electing a new President through Executive Committee, Scott lied that the best option was to conduct the election at the Convention. Curiously when the Executive agreed to go to a Convention, Scott developed cold feet and hibernated at the Army Barracks in Kabwe and failed to address the Convention. When the PF finally elected Lungu, the nation was shocked that Scott who believes in the rule of Law mounted an illegal Convention to electe a candidate sponsored by Mmembe and Mahtani.
PF will thus go into the election deeply divided. UK must be ashamed of sponsoring a dull Guy Scott to mess up the security of Zambia. God Hear Us.
No, they are not ashamed.
They are celebrating right now! They were behind this all along. They are soooo desperate to implies as much UK investments that will net them more than what Zambians get from their resources.
Trust me they want Chinese investments reduced so they can rob us blind.
All the companies not paying corporate tax in the mines are UK run. Scott is their hand in Zambia.
let UPND win thereafter NAREP.
viva chipimo,the only sober candidate…………………
As a nation let us move on and PF as well. The next chapter is to scrutinize the candidates/policies and start making up our minds. I know there are people who want to see this drama go on and on
MY FELLOW ZAMBIANS SURELY -HOW CAN WE HAVE CONFIDENCE IN SOMEONE WITHOUT CONFIDENCE.
MILES SAMPA ISSUES A STATEMENT OF WITHDRAWING IN THE AFTERNOON, SOME FEW HOURS LATER HE SAYS HE HAS RESCINDED HIS DECISION AND HE’S STILL IN CONTEST. THIS SIMPLY IMPLIES THAT HE IS NOT IN CONTROL HIMSELF, HE IS BEING CONTROLLED BY KNOWN/UNKNOWN PEOPLE.
IN SHORT, HE DOES NOT FIT TO BE A LEADER, ABOVE ALL A LEADER OF THE BELOVED ZAMBIA
Please note that some bloggers are posting several times under different names to appear as though HH is not the preferred presidential choice. Mubepelefye Alesia Alesia
I know of Haleisa Haleisa
Enjoy wisely
The manner in which Guy Scott, Mmembe are attempting to stiffle Edgar Lungu makes me think….”this block must be doing something right.”
I am not a Pf supporter but can’t stand chi Membe and his gang because he has destroyed many people’s lives and many of these I know personally. You make a very good point by stating that their attempt, by all means, to stiffle EL makes me also like him very much. I know we have been told about his (EL) drinking and dishonest handling of clients money but he might hold the key to perhaps Membe paying us back our monies back as well (which is greater than the thieves Membe points to).
Guy Scott you have tried your best, now time to bury the hatchet and move on.
PF = No party cards.
PF+Sata=confusion
PF Lungu + Sampa =HH president of Zambia.
Its game over for HH ,These Thugs and thieves have shot themselves in the foot.FINTO
It’s not Scott alone,it’s the entire PF.
There you are.Scot cannot manage these issues, even kabimba had problems in PF.The way out is for PF not to field a presidential candidate so that they just concentrate in being an opposition party, where they have experience or belong.
Now this is total confusion ! Ati muzunga atase ! I knew this scott guy had no brains and this is just the end of PF . Forget PF and rest in pieces .

Somebody should stop them while they can! They just gave us a test of how the cartel is capable of rigging the elections under the delegates very noses!!! Guy Scott and Mm’embe and Kabimba and Silvia Masebo want to cling to power!! For their own personal gains not for the poverty -stricken people of Zambia. Make up something and arrest these creeps!!!

Jojo, you are a muzungu wopusa
Congratulations! It was a tough contest. The people have spoken. It is time to finish the two years left from the first mandate. It is time to unite. In a democracy what matters is the majority vote. But the majority then shoulder the responsibility of protecting everyone, including minorities.
Most bloggers on these online newspapers do not seem to understand that the PF constitution vests all the powers in the party president. Read the constitution with an unbiased mind and without the filter of your prejudices or preferences and you’ll will know which of the two “PF presidents” will ultimately go through the ECZ nomination process.
Ba LT you are forgetting to tell your readers that the returning officer at this sham of a GC has NOT declared Sampa as President-elect because of a court injunction served on the conveners. Therefore, they are coming from Kabwe empty handed FOR NOW
Now we must expect more confusion in PF. The best thing to do is bar ring the PF from contesting the presidential election period. We cannot have mad men and women vying to govern the country. Total idiocy coming from PF everyday!
Thanks for clearing that up for us! We appreciate that…
EL for president!! Sample go F…k yourself or better still your hundred concubines!!
PF has less than 50 days to get organised and make a difference…..Can they win the elections??? NO, NO because the man in-charge of the government resources(Dr. Guy Scot) will make it difficulty for anyone wanting to use government resource or try to manipulate the electoral commission. I can see a change in the sky(God’s plan is the best)…….The solution could be to allow Sampa and Lungu to work together ……give and take is the way to go and make sure you lift all the dismisals and suspensions.
48 TO BE PRECISE!
The major problem in the PF is the fact that not all positions were filled in by way of being elected into that office. The late president (MHSRI) made sure that he appointed those he liked in key positions. Bear in mind that when you get appointed the authority to perform in that office goes when the one who appointed you seases to be or in this case dies. Thats why we are seeing people being fired and counter firing. This PF general conference should have started by first electing people in the percieved appointee based positions to fill the vacancies. Once this had been done those people were now going to work with aouthority up to the election of the party president.
It is sad what is going on in PF. The way things are i may not be surprised if PF lose the january 20 presid
Did you see the people in attendance at Lunge’s press conference on TV? Thugs, kaponyas, marketers………These are your future ministers. Zambians, please let’s wake up.
EL will stand on PF ticket as presidential candidate. Campaigns are already underway on the Copperbelt, Luapul, Lusaka, Eastern, Muchinga and Northern. GS is a looser here as EL has already been given a certificate of adoption and just waiting for the filling in of nominations at ECZ with massive supporters. Viva EL!!!!
It shall be well.Jehova is in control. The evil forces will be exposed
The die is cast. Three Presidents in PF. Guy Scott (Yet to officially hand over) and the two illegitimate presidents from two illegitimate conferences, Edgar Lungu and Miles Sampa. If at all the Judge will be just and act as an arbitrator, he should determine that both presidents were illegitimately chosen at conferences which did not follow PF constitutional procedure.
Now, what this will mean is that we will have two candidates whom we shall have to take to a legitimately arranged conference this Saturday so that legitimate delegates can now vote who their preferred candidate will carry the day.
This is the only way. And if Guy Scott, Miles Sampa, Inonge Wina, Bridget Atanga and Edgar Lungu are reading my post, please do it this way. No shortcuts and equally balanced. Only TWO…
Fellow bloggers, Obama worked his heart out by going around Chicago streets ,in USA for the community for over 5 yrs, became an effective Senator to President. Sampa is young, Kaunda did time in prison to make him a young strong leader.
Taxis on loan for Matero is good but not enough to enter state house. Over how many months has the taxis been operating ? Note there many successful programmes going on in other wards in Zambia better than the business venture for Sampa. Guys not leaving in Matero abit here and there u think you are material for ruling Zambia. what a joke .Late HE had something to show.
Bloggers, watch M’membe and the Watchdog they will go wild! Be careful though they are the soultakers, Vampires, spooky monsters and incredible satanists. Whoever wins the election will be on a 2- year probation, not too sexy after all but will be positioning himself to rule in the next term. @ Ciseche: point on bro Sampa is still a baby, a dummy. Harvard qualification cannot make him rule. We need a politician and a grown up. Has he built sky-scrappers in Matero? How neat is Matero mwebantu? Matero dwellers beef me up with info. We don’t want another kafupi no buchende too much! In short I don’t know Miles apart from the fact that he is Sata’s nephew and Harvard boy. He is a nonentity in my boots!
Miles Sampa 900
GBM 195
Christine 20
Ba shi Nono 7
Selemani 4
Edgar 5
Total number of delegates for Monday 1st Dec 2015 is 1131
Then if we look at the number of delegates for the conference should have been 5000. Mathematically, the number of delegates that attended the two days ex 29th and 30 th November 2014 is 3869.
Hon Edgar Lungu got the highest number of supporters and he should be supported as the new PF president, all the best
5000 who voted for EL included Willie Nsanda’s notorius thugs from KMB, Intercity-Lusaka, Katondo Street and Kulima bus stations. Therefore, 85% were just moles.
@Hamweete Websterson. THAT IS ACTUALLY THE PROBLEM. THE NUMBERS. IN AN IDEAL SITUATION, THERE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE 5000 DELEGATES. BUT SOME OF THOSE POSITIONS HAVE NOT BEEN FILLED UP. SO IT CANNOT ADD UP TO 5000. BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, YOU MUST BE AN ACCREDITED PERSON IN ORDER TO TAKE PART IN VOTING AT THE CONVENTION EVEN IF YOU ARE A PF MEMBER. FATHER BWALYA WAS AT THE CONVENTION BUT HE WAS NOT AN ACCREDITED PF MEMBER. SO EVEN IF YOU HAVE A BILLION SUPPORTERS, IF THEY ARE NOT ACCREDITED PARTICIPANTS, THEY SHOULD NOT GO TO VOTE AT THE CONVENTION. EL MADE THE MISTAKE OF FERRYING HORDES AND HORDES OF THUGS AND HOODLUMS FROM THE STREETS WHO WERE NOT ELIGIBLE, OF COURSE TOGETHER WITH SOME ELIGIBLE PERSONS. THEY THREATENED EVERYONE AND CAUSED MAYHAM.
The two elections were illegal. Therefore both EL and MS are not legit presidential candidates. PF need to resolve this asap but time is not on their side. Anyway that is what happens when people are too power hungry.
Even Sata if he were alive would not vote for Miles Sampa to be PF president after his demise.
And who is Michael Sata, was he perfect ? Come on move on, why do you want the country to be run from the grave.?
From now onwards I will just campaign for HH…We worked hard to put PF in power and now they are taking us for funny…where do i get UPND Campaign materials please somebody help me!!!!
I wrote the other day “what Scott thinks is wise will make him look foolish”. We are in a season of jubilee, please be warned God will turn that “wisdom” into foolishness. I am specifically taking to Dr Scott and to the cartel surrogate president Miles Sampa.
so Even BA shinono got higher votes than Vodigar!!!!!! kikikiki
Vodigar a very befitting name
Better Sampa than EL we are tired of kaponyas running the affairs of the state
There will be confusion when EL is elected as Zambian president. I hear he has promised the kaponyas that they will take over bus stations again from the hands of city council. The will start allocating illegal plots. Look we dont want to go back to that life again. Kabimba brought sanity and now EL wants to bring ubushilu nafuti.
Please arrest Vodigar Lungu , that man is a bafoon
UPND stop talking about PF.We’ll retire HH in january
Abena Lungu wapya baisa.HH will loose to EL.Tribalism to much in UPND no wonder u want a week candidate n in support of Miles Sampa
I am so happy with this outcome , I can breath a sigh of relief
At least GBM or is it GBH did not win! GBM and Kambwili are Kaponyas.
What a joke bane. Sampa you must be ashamed. You know that you do not have support on the ground….just humble yourself man. Leave Lungu alone to context. People want Lungu and not Sampa. We will support Lungu all the to 20th January 2015.
Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.
The legal position is vey clear.
The facts are that convention was injuncted, the results are not legally recognised.
Much as Guy Scott stated he did not know of the injunction, the press statement was released midday. He knew and was aware a long time before elections started that an injunction had been obtained. Asa law abiding citizen, ought to have stopped immediately, regardless of whether he had the court documents in his hand.
The elections which he proceeded with were in contempt of court, as they all knew by the time voting begun. Scott had wanted the event on ZNBC and MUVI TV, but they were injuncted that morning and they ceased the coverage. How can Scott claim he was not aware?
Two members running, Lubinda, Kambwili withdrew on the grounds they did not want to take part in anything illegal and wrote to Scott. The numbers at the convention do not add up.
The bottom line is, Miles Sampa cannot be a legally accepted candidate because of the injunction.
Guy Scott is contemptuous to Zambia, it’s courts, gov’t and most importantly, it’s Citizens. Guy Scott is an agent with an agenda to keep in gov’t someone who can help him keep a hand at the centre of gov’t to influence decisions.
His treatment of Lungu is despicable. The Sata family members had a controlled meeting, which Kaseba did not even attend to present to the electrol college, college.
Now we have potential faction wars. How long is the Judicary going to take to stop this man?
Miles Sampa is a murderer……..remember the case of Ruth Mbandu the girl who was killed by his alleged uncle? well, who do you think sent those people…..the small boy is arrogant and too pompous to be President of this country. All those in support of him have under five brains and mentality and should just shut the f…..k up!!!!
Mr Lungu going on please we are await for u
For the undecided, it would help if someone could provide profiles of candidates. I am particularly interested in reasons for voting for Edgar Lungu (or Miles Sampa) and the PF over other presidential candidates.
An analysis which does not have insults, lies and personal hatred would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Our president is doing well, January comes with blessings. HH 2015
