Three years’ infrastructure development is what is campaigning for PF – Scott

Share

Acting president Guy Scott has reaffirmed his confidence in the ruling PF’s great chances to win the 2015 presidential election.

Dr. Scott has placed his confidence on the infrastructure development that has taken place in the country in the last three years his party has been in power.

He says infrastructure such as constructed and rehabilitated roads, schools & hospitals all campaign for the ruling PF.

The Acting president said this on Friday yesterday during his tour of the rehabilitated Luangwa-Feira road and newly constructed Feira Secondary School and Luangwa District hospital.

And Dr. Scott has observed that the infrastructure development that has taken place in a small district such as Luangwa is but a sample of what the ruling PF is capable of doing if allowed to continue in government beyond 2015.

He has thus wondered how any opposition political party can de-campaign the ruling PF in Luangwa while using the newly constructed Luangwa-Feira road is which is his party had earlier promised to construct.

Meanwhile Dr. Scott has promised to ensure that Chakwenga mine in lower Zambezi area resume its operations.

Dr. Scott made the promise when he called on senior chief Mbuluma of Nsenga Luzi of Luangwa District and chief Mpuka of the chikunda people of the same District.

Both senior chief Mbuluma and chief Mpuka have also expressed their appreciation to the development that the PF government has brought to their district.

  1. It cost 40 times the normal price for that infrastructure under PF, money first goes in the pocket before the structure is put up. Vote HH

    • HH CONTINUE TO LEAD IN THE OPINION POLLS

A latest opinion poll conducted by Zambian Eye on it’s Facebook page has again placed United Party for National Development (UPND) presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema ahead of his Closest rival Edgar Lungu of the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in what is turning out to be a two-horse race.

Out of a total of 387 responses, Hichilema amassed a commanding 69.5% (down 4 points from last week’s 73.5%) whereas runner-up Lungu polled 22.7% (up 10 points from last week’s 12.6%). The rest of the candidates only managed a collective vote of less than one percent, while seven percent of the responses where deemed invalid.

The poll, which ran from 23-26 December, featured nine candidates who have successfully filed in their nomination papers.

    • Saki refuses to rejoin UPND

      By Lambwe Kachali

      Thursday June 19, 2008 [04:00]

UNITED Liberal Party (ULP) president Sakwiba Sikota yesterday said UPND president Hakainde Hichilema is not honest in his offer of reconciliation because he has failed to deal with tribalism in the party. Responding to Hichilema who on Tuesday invited him to rejoin UPND in the spirit of national unity and development, Sikota said Hichilema’s offer to the leadership and membership of ULP to rejoin UPND was not genuine and was laced with thorny issues.

Sikota accused Hichilema of playing to the gallery by using the press without apologising to the people that suffered at the 2006 UPND convention and those who were still affected by the alleged tribalism in the party. He said if Hichilema really wanted…

    • BREAKING NEWS TO ALL OPPOSITION ESPECIALLY UPND PLEASE READ.
      PF PLANS TO RIG ELECTIONS USING THE FOLLOWING METHODS;

1.ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION : THEY HAVE ALREADY PREMARKED BALLOT PAPERS PF SO USE OF THIS IS WANT THEY WANT .REFUSE AT ALL COSTS ZICTA IS PF.
2.USE OF ZAF HELICOPTERS TO FERRY BALLOT PAPERS TO TALLYING CENTERS ,CHOPPERS STOP IN THE BUSH AND SWAP THEM WITH LUNGU MARKED.
3.USE OF COUNCIL SECRETARIES AND HEADMASTERS WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED AND PAID HUGE SUMS OF MONEY AND CADRES AT POLING STATIONS AND AS AGENTS .
      4.
UPND STRONGHOLDS WANT TO SEND LIMITED BALLOT PAPERS SO THAT LUNCH TIME RUNS OUT
5.VOTERS REPLACEMENT PF WANT IN TOWNS NOT IN RURAL AREAS AS THEY KNOW FARMERS WONT VOTE.

PF KNOWS THAT HHHH WILL CARRY THE DAY SO MORE TO COME.
      BE ALERT AND DONT BE…

    • Lusaka Times or the overzealous clueless PF cadres, kindly tell us why the drunk and disgraced lawyer Edgar Lungu failed to go to Northern province yersterday. We are told it is because of logistics, how can some one who fails to plan a trip to Northern province want to be president?

  2. Let the projects campaign for themselves, the devil you know the better,Twalyamba kale ukubomba what else people can see.

  3. Nsanda is said to have been admit in South Africa for prostate cancer, watch him closely, he might have gone to put logistics for rigging the election.

    • Kekeke! True – for rigging the “ERECTION”” but ask Esther first!! They may as well fix a pump on hom.
If it’s rigging, there is VJ in one camp Vs Chungu and Nsanda in the other – so we are not worried!!
Never mind, but anyway, it looks like Nsanda is just taking most of the stolen RDA money for safe keeping in SA knowing that there will be change of Govt in Jan.
By the way, where is Kaseba these days? The looting of RDA was being done in her bedroom – is she concealing and shredding all those documents? Is she still using that budget allocation to her non existent office even if she is never seen doing anything in public interest?
Was she really married to Sata because she kept using Kaseba even after they started living together?

  4. True dat Guy,PF has something to point at,unlike the unrealistic promises made by one hh.Has anyone noticed that upnd cadres are already singing their usual son of rigging…..i smell a defeat.

  5. Visible Infrastructure developments is why am voting for PF. It’s a shame to see all the makukuluz who were rejected in 2011 on the basis of corruption bundle themselves with known tribalists. What a combination! Fox in sheep skin, lest you’re a dim wit, these crooks don’t deserve to anywhere near state house but the gallows!ECL all the way!

  6. Something very disturbing about these pictures. Whoever is responsible for Guy Scott’s security detail needs to be fired immediately – we cant be taking any chances!!
    1. Looking at the first picture at the top, you will notice 2 policemen walking behind him talking to each other. In fact one is looking back and the other walking forward but looking down – exposing Guy Scott to harm from the left, front and even behind. His wife is left completely unprotected and vulnerable from all angles!!
    2. Look at the picture where the President was inspecting Luangwa Sec School. Mrs Scott was completely uncovered and vulnerable to harm from the right. The gap between Guy Scott and the group in front cant be covered if an attacker is determined…etc
Come on you mother fuc.kers – you can do…

  7. I ve KNOWN SCOTT for SOMETIME now, he is just trying to make a name for HIMSELF NOT PF. He already LEFT PF a long time ago.
He is just trying to be COOL and ACT AS A STATESMAN.

He has NEVER MENTIONED LUNGU in ALL his ventures, he KNOWS tht UPND is carrying the day on 20/01/2015.

PF is a DONE and FINISHED party.

  8. It’s all very silly this reconciliation and reinstating of this deranged man. HE CLEARLY IS DECAMPAIGNING LUNGU. ‘The developments will speak for PF …….’

One wonders if PF know there is an election on 20 January from the slow campaigning.

As for Scott he is very rude and clearly has not supported the campaign much. Even his language and conduct is very deliberately pompous and with undertones of racism. His comparison of the failure of black Zambians to own lodges and hotels was twisted and really meant we are stid to let hi. Remain.

    • The villager offered the foreigner fresh fruit juice, sliced paw paw and mango then finished off roasting a selection of meats on his mbaula.

The foreigner had a quick bath in the pool of warm water scented by leaves from nearby trees then swam in the river next to the hut until the meal was ready, when he joined the villager outside his hut.

FOREIGNER: The animals have come to drink from the river. The sunset is beautiful. Will you miss it?

VILLAGER: No Bwana. I have taken your advice. I leave for the city tonight. I will be… civilised in the new one roomed compound house you have built for me in Chawama. I am so happy. Goodbye bwana. Thank you for switching with me.

The foreigner places an ad renting the newly modernised hut with outdoor spa for $1000 per night…

    • @Patriot Abroad, I agree with you. At least I know that you know the reonciliation was a sham. EL has to campaign for himself it is he who wants the presidency.

      Viva #FlightHH2015.

  9. Hehehehe, it’s real panic, to an extent of creating a false rigging formula. Muzalila Ba UPND. Only fools cud believe lies of the sapient. Viva EL

  10. That’s true, but it should also be understood in the context of the fact that in 3 years Zambia has become more indebted than it was under KK after 27 years.

  11. CHILD: What does irony mean, mom.

MOM: Originally it was used in Greek tragedy, by which the full significance of a character’s words or actions is clear to the audience or reader although unknown to the character.

    CHILD: Please explain.

MOM: Like an event or something that gives wry amusement without intending to.

    CHILD: Like?

MOM: Like Guy Scott turning out to be the best PR campaign for a man who not long ago publicly fired and tried to humiliate him, while the man himself has failed to hit the campaign trail and is beleaguered by ‘logistic’ problems.

CHILD: I’ve got it! The PF campaign is ironical. Irony is like a silent fart. Everyone knows it stinks and it’s funny because the one who farted won’t hold his panga up.

MOM: Hahaha. Watching PF take credit for Guy…

  12. Truly theft could at times speak for itself!

How can one boast about borrowed infrastructure? Which government could fail to borrow at Euro interest rate of 8.5%? At this rate, the Country is borrowing from near shylocks! Not very long henceforth this Country might be exposed to Vulture Funders! This Country has been sold, mortgaged!

How in hell should people borrow recklessly at exobitant interest rates and they must boast without telling the Nation how they hope to raise revenues to repay the loans?

PF are a fraud as they have no reasonble means of repaying the huge loans. It is criminal!

Borrowing could be done prudently, morally and legally!

    Who can’t spend, anyway?

Production is the real thing: Not consumption!

  13. When you come into power and find a healthy economy and national treasury, whatcan stop you from building roads, hospitals, schools, universities etc? PF inherired a healthy treasury from RB and MMD, and also inherited the well thought out plans for road etc. This means that HH and others can also build roads and he can perform even better and more efficiently. What surprises me about these so called honourable men like Guy Scott is that they do not acknowledge or give credit where it is due.
Keep on dreaming ba Guy, the voters know better.
