LUNGU-LUAPULA-624x411

CONTINUOUS rains failed to wash away Patriotic Front (PF) president Edgar Lungu’s massive campaign rallies in Luapula yesterday as he continued with his message of unity, prosperity and development.

Mr Lungu held six rallies and closed the day at about 19:00 hours despite wet weather that did not deter the huge crowds.

This is according to Mr Lungu’s media team that witnessed the rallies in Lupiya, Puta, Nchelenge and Mununga before winding up in Mambilima.

Senior Chief Mununga told Mr Lungu that he has been “endorsed” by the people and the traditional leadership in the area as “Umupyani”, whose literal meaning is: successor.

“This is because you are merely taking over from President Michael Sata,” Senior Chief Mununga said.

Mr Lungu, who is Minister of Defence and doubles as Minister of Justice, said he would address the challenge of revamping the Kawambwa Tea Company and the road network of Kashikishi and other surrounding roads once voted for next week.

Chief Mununga presented Mr Lungu with a royal walking stick, a dove and a goat, a symbol used in the Mununga clan as a sign of victory and royalty.

Mr Lungu’s rallies were preceded by prayers at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church where he pledged his continued loyalty to God and asked the church to pray for continued peace ahead of the poll.

St Pauls Parish priest Mathews Katwayi described Mr Lungu as a man of the people, “a man of God, a humble man” who has the support of not only the Christian community but even the non-Christian community.

    • Go Go… Edgar Go..
You are doing V/ fine. My seven family votes are yours come 20.01 2015. You are just too fit to govern. But please don’t talk against Guy Scott too much. Whatever he tried to do was part of the reason why you are famous and winning. God bless Zambia & EL

    • LT who are you trying to deceive? what mammoth rallies? how come there is only one picture? what has changed today? the truth is that Lungu failed to pull decent crowds and his campaign in Luapula is in shambles. Just go to Lusaka and debate HH if you think you are popular HH’s offer to debate you is still on offer. Secondly, how can you be a President of Zambia if you cannot go to Southern and NWP?
Viva HH and UPND, the time has come for HH to rule

    • Zambia’s famous satirist who pens his articles under a pseudonym “Spectator Kalaki” tweeted about Lungu’s win “HH doesn’t have the common touch. Lungu does”.

The writer also stated a common and known fact that “Zambia changes government when there is massive revulsion against the Ruling Party as it happened in 1964, 1991, and 2011. Therefore Lungu wins January 2015?.

Many have predicted that the ruling party will win the presidential by-election with a comfortable proximity between Edgar Lungu and Hakainde Hichilema

    • ONCE AGAIN THE PEOPLE’S PRESIDENT INSPIRES US!!!…

BA UPND HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT INTERACTION WITH THE PEOPLE IS???

THAT IS HOW A CROWD IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE!!!

…not those crowds that attend UPND rallys only out of curiosity to see how satanists like HH look like..

January 21, it will be announced…Edgar Lungu is leading in the elections

January 23/24 it will be announced…Edgar Lungu has won the elections

By the first week of February it will be announced…HH has resigned as UPND president..

****VIVA EDGAR LUNGU 2015 AND 2016****

    • “St Pauls Parish priest Mathews Katwayi described Mr Lungu as a man of the people, “a man of God, a humble man” who has the support of not only the Christian community but even the non-Christian community.”

1)This is the guy who subdued his opponebts at mulungushi conference with violence
2)This is the same person who has refused to sing the a contract with the people of Zambia and has has refused to condemn violence from his cadres.

    • Ba LT

      Kulast last uku mwakamba ati,

“St Pauls Parish priest Mathews Katwayi described Mr Lungu as a man of the people, “a man of God, a humble man” who has the support of not only the Christian community but even the non-Christian community. Did you mean Muslim Community? Boko Haram in Nigeria?

    • Wesoso! Go to your ZWD and the see pictures you want to see. LT reports as things are and not your UPND propagandist ZWD.
Not everyone in life will agree with your opinion and so the earlier you learn that, the better for you.

  1. Ala upnd will cry than never before.HH will feel how sata used to feel every time he lost an election. Ifintu lungu. Lungu e president. Elyo lungu ekateka, kashi lungu ni president. Ukuvota ni lungu. Ukuteka ni lungu. Ukulusa ni HH. Hakaivotela heka. Hakalila hakalusa.

  2. I hope he does not malaria of the rain, we don’t want excuses after losing next week. MP of Lusaka district of the Zambian Republic, this title suits him. He should enjoy the 4 helicopter hired for him. Vote wisely HH

    • hh ma rubbish.
Hh the human blood sucker will not be president of Zambia. He lies that he is Adventist, who never respects the Sabath and he is promising to do the same PF programmes. Then why change the leadership. hh…try again in 2030.

    • How many drunks are behind this drunk going by the name of Edgar? In 8 days time, this ***** will be retired and placed in an ICU to attend to his failing kidneys.

  3. LT who are you trying to deceive? what mammoth rallies? how come there is only one picture? what has changed today? the truth is that Lungu failed to pull decent crowds and his campaign in Luapula is in shambles. Just go to Lusaka and debate HH if you think you are popular HH’s offer to debate you is still on offer. Secondly, how can you be a President of Zambia if you cannot go to Southern and NWP? HH has successfully campaigned in ALL the provinces of Zambia
Viva HH and UPND, the time has come for HH to rule

    • @ monkaroc

and the debate??????? and Lungu not going to SP and NWP? do you have an anwer for me?????? stop cherry-picking, this is the same model that Lungu is using. He said he has no vision BUT carrying on with Sata’s vision, then he started cherry-picking some policies.
      Too late PF kuya bebele
      VIVA HH and UPND

    • The same crowd is being recycled in all Mwamba’s pictures on facebook and Zambia Reports. Zambia Daily Mail has actually been exposed for doing so. Vodka is going nowhere, in 8 days time he will be shunted to where he belongs – taverns and night clubs.

    • Wesoso, who told you that he won’t. His program has lined up campaigns in SP and NWP after his last round of rallies in LSK. He is going to SP and NWP last. His team is strategic my man. You will cry come 21st when election results start cocming out.

  4. Revamp Kawambwa tea company? ..but you are already in government, revamp it now! It’s like when a football player is given 90 minutes, fails to score a goal, but insists to score after 90 minutes. Your time is up!!!

    • @william,PF’s was 5 years so their planning horizon takes that into account. The death of Sata is a set back to PF but does not signal in reality that what they promised to do in 5 years should have been done 2 and half years. This why PF is insisting on continuity so that they finish their 5 years and allow the electorate make a judgement based on a full 5 year mandate they voted PF for.

  5. e e naine niziba kuti ni a lungu tyala!! It was evident that the rains did not disrupt such a profound leader!!! Let these Urealisti Promises For No Development whose final destination lands them into oblivion by flight 180!!! I wonder how many cows are remaining in that craal! LT remains to be the most fair unlike pathetic zwd!

  6. where are the heavy down polls and the other rallies in pictures? And when you analyse it not even a rally but move vehicle!! NO FACTS! We already know the facts of Luapula province

    • According to my teacher of English, it is heavy “downpour” and not down poll. Maybe you need the free education from HH. #Chuckle

    • Wait for the results confirmation on 21st January 2015 imwe ba UPND, you will pee in the presence of you children.

If what we saw last night on the “impounded” trucks is the kind of desperation in your camp, awe tafilibwino.

HH lost these elections immediately EL was declared winner as PF president! Imfumu shesu nashisosa, EL mupyani waba Sata until 2016, period.

      Viva Edgar Chagwa Lungu

    • Upnd, forget luapula.I have a friend working there and he tells me luapula is for Edgar ‘Jaguar’ Lungu.Go get them ‘Jaguar’.

  7. BREAKING NEWS

Many of the people who constituted Vodka’s crowds at his rallies in Luapula were ferried from across the border in Congo DR. They were each paid K10 plus 5 KG of mealie meal to parade themselves at Edgar’s supposedly unpopular rallies to create an impression that Kaminamisa was popular.

  8. Desperate times call
For desperate measure. Very desperate indeed. Well nothing will stop the ship from sinking. Just a few days more some will be in hospital because of heart attacks.
    VIva HH

    • Just who is desperate in this case. Paranoid people suspecting any truck coming into Zambia as carrying pre-marked ballot papers or someone who is campaigning with a huge crowd following him? I need to be educated here

    • @Proton – always positive

Go back in time (2008) and remember what PF did
Don’t be too quick to point a finger
PF impounded a truck in 2008

    • Koma Edgar has really caused you guys sleepless nights eeh! Everytime some Up nDown Part cadre says something, Edgar’s name does not miss. That shows you that you chaps are dead scared of him. Hehehe!

  9. Could someone please tell me why PF is campaigning only in Northern, Muchinga, Luapula

Why should the rest of Zambian consider them when they don’t bother or merely have one campaign in other provinces

  10. *17 @ selfexpression
Please do not show your ignorance and deceive yourself that HH is popular. The PF is divided into two groups. The other group led by Scott is already campaigning in NW Province, Southern Province andWestern Province. While the EL group is concentrating on the other provinces. This is why the UPND is panicking. This is exactly what Scott talked about when he said HH will be dizzy when the PF starts to campaign on full throttle.
Under five and his cronies could never imagine EL having five choppers at his disposal. They thought he was going to use ZAF choppers.

    • Not good enough
If you want to win people you should be humble enough to face them and not delegate
      Let Edgar go there
Scott is merely touring projects, but what has Lungu got to say

    • In N/West, Guy wa Chikoti was asked how PF would win an election when they do not have any grassroots there. Ba PF just start packing your katudus, it is kuya bebele. We are tired of your lies.

  11. Time to talk too much is now over, its now time to prepare the voters cards so that we can put our Lungu on the thone period.

    • YES. THERE ARE CHILDREN ON THIS RALLY BECAUSE THE OLDER ONES HAVE ALREADY MADE UP THEIR MINDS TO VOTE FOR EL. SO THEY ARE BUSY IN THE FIELDS AND FISHING. EL IS NOW CAPTURING THE FUTURE GENERATIONS OF VOTERS FOR 2016, 2021, 2026 ETC. THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL STRATEGY. NOT TRAILING TRUCKS CARRYING CHAIRS, LAMPS AND BATTERIES ALL THE WAY FROM CHIRUNDU TO LUSAKA. JUST AS THOSE BOXES HAD NO BALLOT PAPERS IN THEM, SO WILL BE THE BALLOT BOXES, EMPTY OF HH VOTES BUT FULL OF ELs VOTES.

  12. Luapula is your bedroom PF!!! So no worries there bcoz all 13 PF MPs are on the ground campaigning plus late Sata initiated so many projects in Luapula!tribal HH must never even dream about Luapula votes bcoz there Edgar Lungu will defeat him pants down! GO PF GO!8 DAYS MORE BEFORE WE SHAME THE DEVIL IN OPPOSITION!!!

  13. Post the Mazabuka, Chikankata, Nabukuyu UPND rallies also; the sea of people gathered to hear messages of hope from the incoming govt. You are talking of Luapula rallies but only post one picture; reality has caught up with you….

  14. Good try Mr. Lungu. This one, however, has slipped through your fingers. You are too drunk with power and too much of a kachasu drunkard.

  15. based on reports i have gotten on the ground, PF is winning Luapula with 90-95 percent. Don’s argue i come from there so i know what am talking about.

    • Is this not the same Lungu who blamed his campaign Managers for failed Luapula rallies. Ni kuya bebele a Lungu. You can now
concentrate on selling beers in your bar in Chawama.

  16. Edgar Lungu is the big political name in Africa as we speak, like it or not. His rallies are even bigger than our late President Sata (with respect).

HH is jealous is this man who has taken not only Zambia but the world by storm.

Time for HH to know that he is old now and the man of the moment is young, vibrant and loved everywhere.

    Go EL, go our President

  17. Nanga a Banda alikuti? These Bemba chief they claim endorse Vodga Lungu and no one is complaining. Some of these Bembas are just Congolese.
This Lungu is even being avoided by his fellow PF chaps like Lubinda, Miles and OTHERS.
We need to see the back of this faggot. Not sure what will become of him once he starts drinking his Kachasu on daily basis. What happened to his walking stick that they claimed was given by the Litunga?
Edgar means the beginning of the end of PF!

  18. @wesoso! The problem with you is that when yu wake up yu see hh yu sleep yu dream hh, . The mandate for pf was 5 yrs and what yu expect from a responsible party is to have a shared vision. For your infomation it daznt mean dat when Sata died then the party remained with no vision, unless yu tell me that when Mazoka died there was no vision in UPND.Thats why there are party manifestos its a collective vision for a certain period of time en thats 2011-2016 and yu dont expect Lungu to starting dreaming outside the party manifesto! Tthe problem with bantustan parties is that only one person has the vision while others are just blind followers., meaning that when HH dies then his successor has to dream another vision!
