Janza calms down as Zambia settles in Equatorial Guinea

Share

Zambia coach Honour Janza has under-played the impact of Zambia’s late arrival at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial.

Janza’s side was scheduled to arrive in Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday but the team on landed in the West Africa nation on Friday.

Chipolopolo starts their Africa Cup campaign on Sunday with a seemingly tricky encounter against neighbouring DR Congo in Ebebiyin.

“People should appreciate that Zambia has its own road-map of getting ready for the finals. We cannot get into panic mode just because other countries have arrived ahead of us, we have our own plans which always take care of any eventualities,” Janza said

He added:”So far all has been very close to our initial plans.”

Chipolopolo’s late arrival in Equatorial Guinea brings back Zambia’s recent travel ordeals during a dramatic 2015 Africa Cup qualifying runwhose highlight came on September 9 when they arrived at dawn on the day of the match against Cape Verde that they lost 2-1.
