Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) Spokesperson, Raphael Nakacinda, says a delegation led by President Nevers Mumba today met Republican President, Edgar Lungu, to discuss a wide range of governance issues with particular emphasis on the role played by former President, Rupiah Banda, in the recently held Presidential by-election on January 20, 2015.
Mr Nakachinda says matters discussed included Mr Banda’s return to active politics, his attempt to stand as MMD candidate, his participation in the Patriotic Front campaigns and other issues that have the potential to divide the nation such as the ugly head of ethnicity in politics.
He disclosed the development to the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Lusaka today
Mr Nakacinda said as a party the MMD were considering details of the meeting, as they continue their role of effectively providing checks and balances with a view to assist the country move forward.
He said this is the culture that the MMD wishes to encourage in Zambia.

This is very simple. Nevers Mumba is not an electable person. This is by the way is an excuse from him. The best he can do is to resign and stop milking MPS’s salaries.

If Nevous had not fought off RB in the Supreme court concerning the MMD presidency,we could be talking about a different story altogether at State House…..anyway,am still basking in EL’s victory. The practice of flagging off campaigns is not only annoying paternalistic, but also primitive.
We should have a set date for General elections every 5 years. The country must be an open field for aspirants to any office to sell themselves to the electorate.
There is no rhyme or reason why there should be a “campaign season.”

He has gone to look for a job. This man has no grassroot support as MMD president that is why he did so poorly but then he blames MPs for supporting other parties. Look at UPND, look at PF. Despite their members supporting other parties. They still got more than 1,000 votes from those areas. Mumba got less than 50.

RB has taken over from FTJ as the Political Engineer. He said at a rally that Edgar is humble and he listens to advice. This is the beginning of the manipulation of the president by RB.

Nevers’s current political value is below zero. I am sure he is trying to con Lungu by trying to impress him with the so called expulsions of those MPs that supported HH while blackmailing him by asking for a job in exchange with leaving be, those MPs that supported Lungu through Banda. In fact Kapembwa Simbao, a Banda supporter has now been removed from the list of those expelled.
