The Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) has said that the appointment of its Mwandi MP Michael Kaingu and his Chipangali counterpart Vincent Mwale to Cabinet by President Edgar Lungu has the full blessings of the party.
MMD spokesperson Raphael Nakachinda told ZNBC that President Lungu consulted party President Nevers Mumba on the appointment of Dr. Kaingu and Mr. MWALE.
President Lungu announced members of his Cabinet that included two opposition MMD lawmakers.
Meanwhile, the North Western Province Council of Elders is happy with the appointment of Zambezi West PF lawmaker Christabel Ngimbu as Lands Minister.
Council of Elders Chairperson Lukas Chikoti said the appointment of Ms. Ngimbu will help bring development to the North Western Province.
Mr. Chikoti said the Council of Elders want Ms. Ngimbu to use her appointment to lobby for infrastructure projects such as roads and schools in the region.
And the Mine Workers Union of Zambia-MUZ- has welcomed the re-appointment of Christopher Yaluma as Mines Minister.
MUZ General Secretary Joseph Chewe has however advised Mr. Yaluma to be practical and resolve the many problems in the sector.
He said MUZ is also happy with the appointment of Fackson Shamenda as Labour Minister saying the later is an experienced unionist.

These NWP chiefs are full of BS. How does the appointment of the Zambezi MP going to bring development to NWP? Is she going to steal on their behalf? When one is appointed minister they work for the central govt and “bring development”, I hope, to all parts of the country.
If indeed you consulted MMD, how come PF did not not consult UPND? It says alot about the modus operandi of PF. Treat one party with a different set of standards and that is called “nation building”

Whether they consulted MMD or not, Nevers would’nt have stood in the way of Kaingu and Vincent Mwale. In the first place Nevers has only 2 MP’s ( Howard Kunda and Mbulakulima) whom he controls. Kaingu and Mwale are among the other MP’s who endorsed the Candidature of Chagwa. If they had any respect for Nevers’ and his MMD they would have supported him. In short Nevers has no bearing on this cabinet and no consultation, if at all there was any it was just for formality.

Indeed Nevers is a walking contradiction. In one breath he suspends Mp’s for supporting HH and in another he kisses the others who are now in the PF government. We all know that Kaingu can never support Nevers. So what is Nevers saying? That he approved the appointment of Kaingu? Imwe Anevers munama ndani? That story can only be believed by juvenile Nakachinda and embicile MbulaKalima. If Nevers approved the appointment of the MMD Mps to the PF why now is he not allowing the meeting on saturday to take place? Contradiction and contradiction after another. And this is the man some university gave a honorary doctorate?

UPND were extensively consulted for inclusion but their HH who does not believe on a common cause refused. Their supporters have turned around and say there are no appointments from Southern Province, even though Shamenda is from there. Why cant they counsel HH or just bring in an inclusive leader?

I see nothing really coming out of MMD as long as Mumba remains at the helm of this club. The larger part of Northern part of Zambia are for PF and the Southern part is for UPND, so the two parties will ransck the MMD to beef up their clubs. In short we are saying, this is the end of MMD, just like the way we are slowly burrying UNIP, though UNIP is resisting, but it is finally gone. History has it that once rule Zambia, then forget rulling it for the second time unless you fight hard when you are still fresh from loosing. Zambians always want a new look, and it is good because this is one way of spreding out wealth to every one throu the family tree branches. You people should learn to analyse issues ans never be like a TICK on a dead cattle always thinking it is still alive.
I do not think HH would want to be associeted with a poor peforming team at this time. Consultation or not, I feel it is fine for HH at this time. After all he is just coming from a small tribe in the south of the country, what does it matter to him. He would rather be rulled by BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS FROM BIGGER TRIBES OF ZAMBIA. GOD is watching on each one of us, what we write and what we think about deep in our hearts, and shall strike at the rightful time.
