He said the reptile first bit his leg and tried to drag him into deeper waters.Mwenya, however managed to overpower the reptile by holding onto its mouth before he managed to set himself free from the jaws of the reptile.

He added that he was a lucky man to be alive because he was not sure he would break free after the tussle with the animal which lasted for over five minutes.

    • It’s wrong for humans to bath in a river. Only fish, crocs and other animals meant for the river should be doing that. This was a clear case of encroachment. Nobody should get in an animal habitat and expect to walk away with their lives intact. There’s always a high price to pray!

    • Suntwe: It’s interesting to bath in a river you know there are no crocs. Ask HH who was brought up in a village like me

    • Suntwe stop hallucinating please, were are you getting that arrogant mentality from really? People are allowed to swim in the water too, just make it is safe to do so. We all depend on water after all.

  1. In this day and age …our people are still bathing in croc infested rivers. ..meanwhile the government of the day is busy putting empty tins on payroll in the name of lazy deputy ministers instead of sinking boreholes for these poor people!!

  2. Ba Mwenya baume na “haff” nangu ninkalamu, nga balishansha kwena. Noti kalya ka video ka kwa mwenye uo balile kuli Tiger ukwabula no kwesha ko ukulwisha, ebwaume ubu!

  3. For sure in this day and age people are still using primitive sanitation (bathing and toilet) ways. Others are going to Mars, imwe dwii !!. And it is these same people like this man who will go and vote for a useless party like PF. So live with this, it is your choice!!

  4. This croc problem would be brought under control if more Zambians started eating croc meat. As they do in southern USA. Just hunt those reptiles for food and before long word will spread among the crocs that man has gone savage. When they hear or see a man they will run for dear life.

  5. The river is animal territory and the crocodile has every right being there. He looked at the man as food source and acted how he would with any prey by trying to dragging the man in the water. Lesson learned don’t bathe in croc infested water. Surely you can’t kill an innocent animal for a man’s mistake. I have to say, he sure is one hell-of-a strong man ahahaha!!

  6. The man deserve a medal that is bravely at its highest level. The faint hearted would not do that.

    You are a brave man

  7. I am one of those who used to swim in the waters of the Zambezi river when my father was a fisherman (Sinazongwe) in the 60s. Those reptiles must be croped yearly
