GUY Scott has ceased to be Patriotic Front (PF) vice-president and he will remain an ordinary member whom the party will consult from time to time with respect, Davis Chama, the ruling party secretary general has revealed.
Mr Chama said Dr Scott was removed from his position as PF vice-president before the presidential election last month and that President Edgar Lungu, who is the leader of the ruling party had not rescinded his decision to change the status of the former republican vice-president.
Dr Scott could not be reached for a comment as his mobile phone was switched off but the former vice-president had challenged his dismissal in the Ndola High Court but has since withdrawn the matter so that it could be settled outside court.
Mr Chama said the ruling party would be holding elections from the lowest organ of the party to the position of vice-president but hastened to state that President Lungu as head of the PF reserved the right to appoint his deputy in the party.
He said Dr Scott would remain an ordinary member of the PF but as the founder and father of the ruling party, the leadership would be consulting him because he was still relevant to unity of the party.
“Dr Scott is no longer the vice-president of the PF as he was removed before the presidential election.
President Lungu as head of the ruling party reserves the right to appoint any other member of the party as vice-president. As you are aware, Dr Scott challenged his dismissal as vice-president of the PF in the Ndola High Court but for the sake of unity and reconciliation, he has withdrawn the matter so that we can settle it outside court,” Mr Chama said.
And Mr Chama said there are still some disgruntled elements within the ruling party who were undermining President Lungu and the party was happy that the Head of State had sent warning that he would deal with such divisive people. He said President Lungu had appointed some ministers from the opposition in an attempt to unify the country that was drifting into serious and dangerous regionalism and that it was important for all Zambians irrespective of religious, political and ethnic affiliation to support the Head of State.
Mr Chama said Zambia needed to heal from politics of ethnicity and that those who were blackmailing President Lungu over his decision to unite and heal the country were not patriotic Zambians and should therefore be chastised.
President Lungu has appointed MMD Mwandi member of Parliament Michael Kaingu and his Chipangali counterpart Vincent Mwale as edication and sports ministers respectively while UPND’s Siavonga MP Richwell Siamunene and Greford Monde Itehzi-Tehzi as Western Province and agriculture deputy ministers respectively.
This Davies Chama need be discarded by Edgar. He is really huge wrong piece of rag. Who does he think he is to talk about Guy Scott & the matter in court?

The sooner ECL became the substantive PF Party President, he removed Scott and Masebo from their party position with approval of the Central Committee. Dr. Scott was officially written to on the same. In response he filed an injunction in the Ndola high court which he later withdrew. But the Executive decision has not been reversed as of today.

Dr Scott was condemned by most of us for siding with PF when the PF guys wanted to rip him in pieces. The man is a veteran. Im not a PF supporter but I like Dr Scott. The man is simply the best. I’m afraid Lungu and Chama are very vindictive, not trust-worthy, political amateurs! They have not honoured the “reconciliation” agreement brokered by the church.
They should have maintained Guy Scott as Vice-President for both country and party – it’s only 18 months left before the next election; elevated Sampa to full cabinet post (even if in charge of youth and sport).
Thereafter, if PF won the 2016 elections, then, they would have made the changes. With these serious blunders, Lungu and Chama will lose investor confidence; weaken the economy; and most, likely, lose 2016. They are antagonising the very people who can make or break PF in 2016. All the best … . Lungu’s will be the shortest presidency in Zambia’s history – only 18 months!

It is either Guy Scott was used by Edgar or simply being punished for refusing public funds for election campaigns. Scott’s position on public funds forced Lungu to seek help from Mugabe, Kagame and Boko Haram leadership. So far Kageme and Mugabe are already receiving their rewards from Edgar for their help. Rwanda has been granted permission to fly its national carrier into Zambia. As for Mugabe, Zambia has secured a foreign loan on behalf of Zimbabwe to fund the construction of Kariba Dam hydro. We are yet to see the rewards for Boko Haram.
Do not open your mouth about Boko Haram. The problem with Zambians is their lack of analysis. Just from the response of some bloggers here. One would know who takes the rubbish that ZWD writes as gospel truth. Use your brain and do not always believe in gutter journalism. I have never heard of a single person being discontinued or fired from being a member of either the republican or Democratic Party. Any office bearer can only relinquish their position upon losing an election, death, conviction by the courts of law or by resignation. African politicians are morally bankrupt and are a disgrace. Kagame doesnt have respect for democracy. He sends special forces to eliminate his foes who have sought asylum in other countries. The recent incident is in South Africa which lead to a serious diplomatic tension between Rwanda and South Africa. Boko Haram, Kagame, Mugabe and RB are Edgar’s advisors.
Apparently there is only one man in the history of Zambia occupying the office of presidency who has refused to abuse public resources in favour of his own party, that is Guy Scott. He is terribly punished for this. Remember, these mercenaries in the name of pf cabinet almost plotted to a coup on Scott.

One day my friend was in a tax and passagers in that tax who were just ordinary people were discussing and lamenting that PF(EL) has made a big mistake by sidelining Dr Scot.hE CONTRIBUTED TO PEOPLE voting for PF because he highlighted the projects that were finished or were in progress and many people for PF to complete Satas projects which were highlighted by Scot during the campaigns.Problem these politicians misuse public funds and were not happy becuase Dr Scot was against such.Will miss his contribution to the politics of ZED.His late friend Sata must be turning in his grave in displeasure on how his friend and founder member has been treated.

REFLECTION ON OLD GUY. I strongly, vehemently and patriotically have great respect for Dr. Scott. I simply love the man… not because he is white, but because he is wise, humble and honourable. The man deserves the uttermost respect and I will say this; Guy has been one of the best leaders mother Zambia has EVER… had. Edgar Lungu with his blind entourage counter-pats will only remain a bad sting and odor we will only wish passes away soon or changes it fragrance.
If Guy did know the answer in parliament, stood and said, “I don’t know the answer to the question. Let me consult and i”ll get back to you.” Humility right there.
