Sports Mazembe defeat Nkana in friendly

Striker Chanda Mushili scored a consolation goal as TP Mazembe beat Nkana 2-1 in a friendly match played in Lubumbashi on Friday
afternooon.

Tanzania international striker Mbwana Samatta grabbed a first half brace before Mushili scored in the second half.

Samatta begun by scoring a penalty after Maybin Chishimba brought down Roger Assale in the box before beating the Nkana offside trap to complete his brace.

On the other side, Mushili scored for Nkana in the second half from a swift counter attacking move.

“We have lost 2-1 but the team played well,” said Nkana deputy coach Zeddy Saileti.

Nkana are preparing for the FAZ Super League season that starts on March 14 while Mazembe are getting ready for the first round of the CAF Champions League after being put on bye in the preliminary stage.
