PF Media and Communications Director Brian Hapunda has dispelled rumours that hospitalised PF Central Committee Member Willie Nsanda has died.
Mr Hapunda said contrary to online media reports. Mr Nsanda who is also former Chimwemwe MP remains in hospital at Millpark Hospital.
He said a number of PF senior officials led by Secretary General Davies Chama visited Mr Nsanda at his bedside.
‘I wish to confirm that Central Committee Member Willie Nsanda remains admitted to Millpark Hospital in South Africa contrary to rumours circulating,’ Mr Hapunda said.
Mr Nsanda who is also RDA Chairman has been admitted to Milpark Hospital for a number of weeks and was recently visited by President Edgar Lungu.
And PF Secretary General, Mr. Davies Chama says he is happy to see that party member of the central committee, Mr. Willie Nsanda has continued recovering well at Milpark Hospital where he is admitted.
This is according to a statement released to the media by Press Secretary High Commission of Zambia in Pretoria, Nicky Shabolyo
Mr. Chama said soon after visiting Mr. Nsanda at the hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa, this afternoon that he was impressed with the steady progress and that doctors had also indicated to him that they were happy with Mr. Nsanda’s recovery process.
The PF secretary general was accompanied to the hospital by the party’s central committee member, Mr. Samuel Mukupa where the two stayed at Mr. Nsanda’s bedside for over 30 minutes.
Mr. Chama said Mr. Nsanda, with whom he joked for most of the time, was keen to learn about latest developmental and political issues back in Zambia.
“We cracked a lot of jokes with him; I mean as you know he is full of jokes.
He was also keen to know what is happening back home and we discussed developmental and political issues in Zambia.”
“He asked about the parliamentary by-elections next month and we briefed him about our candidates in Chawama, Senga Hill and Masaiti constituencies, and assured him that everything was going well,” Mr. Chama said.
Good News that he is still alive.
But I would have been extreamely happy if Edgar Lungu was the one who was about to die.
Lungu is the most useless President that Zambia has ever had.

It is tough being President of Zambia. It is tough because you have to answer to opposition leaders (Such as Nawakwi, Hakainde, Sondashi and Kabimba) and the Media (such as the Post, Watchdog, Zambian eye and Zambia Reports). I don’t envy president ECL. He has tried as much as possible not to be like Sata who hid his illness. Now his illness is public knowledge yet people do not believe him even doctors. What does a man do in such circumstances? Is there such a thing as giving too much information? In the case of Lungu he may be giving too much information in my opinion. But what do you do when you have people like HH, Sondashi and Nawakwi who do not believe that a president can ever get sick? It will be interesting to see how he will swim in all this. He will need to be tough as nails.
