PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Davis Chama says the ruling party has proven to be stable and strong through attracting of new members from other political parties.

Mr Chama said yesterday that the PF was receiving members from various political parties saying it was the sign that the ruling party was stabilising after the death and subsequent confusion which had engulfed the party after the death of president Michael Sata.

He said the party was attracting members from the opposition political parties such as MMD and UPND who were joining it everytime.

“It is good that despite the differences which had erupted after the death of president Michael Sata, the ruling party is attracting members from MMD and other political parties such as the UPND.I know by the end of this year(2015) , the party will be more stable and a force to reckon with,”Mr Chama said.

He said the party was currently busy organising elections from the grassroots like in the dissolved committees to ensure that proper elected members were ushered into office.
He said this was aimed at strengthening the ruling party in readiness for the general elections.

He said currently an interim committee was running Eastern Province adding that elections would be called in order to elect office bearers.

Mr Chama also said the ruling party was making inroads in a number of districts and provinces in the country.

In a related development, Eastern Province PF Chairperson Atanny Mwamba has urged some individuals aspiring in certain constituencies to work with the PF structures team.
He said there was nothing wrong for individuals who want to aspire for certain a constituency to be working independently without the involvement of the party structures.

Mr Mwamba also said the ruling party was certain of scooping the Kamimba, Ncheka and Msandire wards local government by-elections.

He said the ruling party was campaigning heavily to ensure that it grabs the three local government by-elections.

  1. Iam not PF but the best gift that can ever come from edgar is the dismantling of Mmembe kingdom.so far so good.

    • Of course, no one can talk rubbish about their party. Recently Kabimba said his party was growing rapidly because of defections from other political parties. So this article is not newsworthy, LT. Go to Alex Muliokela, he will tell you the same and you will publish the crap.

  2. PF has work at hand to remove all the PANGA wielding cadres from responsible positions. We can not have a party in power after 50 years of independence still wielding PANGAs as if we are dealing with a poilitical freedom. I also hope CHAMA is aware that Democracy is all about having florishing opposition parties to keep checks and balances. Because if their thrust is to kill opposition parties, then we might as well get back to KK time. If PF is really a democratic party, let it find pleasure in promoting opposition parties, without which this would point to selfishness of the highest order and ZAMBIA as a country will never develop in the true sense of development. The Motto should be “OPPOSITION is HEALTHY”.

    • And what’s with Simbyakula’s wearing a bathing towel around his neck? Is he trying to set some bizarre fashion trend? Does he think he can emulate the old, dreaded Kenneth Kaunda – in 2015?

  3. those are chancers, they want jobs from PF.. we don’t expect you to say something bad concerning your party,we are counting days, next year..pweeee

    • Sungwe wa Suntwe you have made me laugh about the towel. Check him out he is even wearing a safari suit. Can’t stand that attire, reminds me too much of oppressive UNIP.

  4. Fix the free falling economy not politicking all the time,no one eats that! Tell us what you have done in developmental aspects in all the provinces so far.You failures, you have reduced & balkanised Zambia to a failed banana republic.

    • But Careless, you really can be careless ati, “I have another child from another woman!” Hah! Seriously though, you’ve to think about how you’ll provide for this addition to your brood all the way to university! Someone in Kitwe, a collector like you, with six children from six different women recently killed his mother who was actually looking after the children! Lol…

  5. Mr. Chama, we have noted your latest unsolicited self gratifying contribution.
Now can you also amplify about stability, or lack of it, of the Presidents health, Kwacha and economy?

  6. It is unfortunate that we rate parties by the number of defectors joining it from”whatever source and for whatever reason”. We should be rating them by the policies they have implemented succssfully. Beware of the return of one party state.

  7. WILLIE NSANDA DIES
Member of the Central Committee and Road Development Agency (RDA) Chairperson, Willie Nsanda is dead.
Outgoing Zambian High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr. Muyeba Chikonde confirmed that Mr. Nsanda died this morning at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg.
Last month, government evacuated Mr. Nsanda for specialist treatment.

    • Agreed ba Chama, but continue working hard do not relax bane, there are too many vultures around.

For me, sort out and bury the cartel for good, start with that ugly manifestation of evil called mmembe, the thing that has bewitched our society. When you succeed , I promise you my vote and that of my family including all my extended family and in-laws.

  8. There is lack of confifence in the pf government as reflected by the kwacha. lungu since ascending to power is trotting from one country to another. He has not had time to attend to internal affairs. Pf is not getting stronger as chama claims. Merging with mmd works to the advantage of the later.
