CCZ saddened by death of former PF MP Rev. Sampa

Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) General Secretary Susan Matale says CCZ is saddened with the death of former Secretary General Reverend Violent Sampa Bret who died in Germany.

Rev. Matale said the entire CCZ has lost a gallant woman of God because of her massive contribution during the period when she was secretary general of the UCZ.

Ms Matale made the revelations in a Press statement made available to ZANIS n Lusaka today.

She said the late Sampa will be remembered as a committed and advocate of the branding and increasing the visibility of the CCZ during her tenure of her office.

Ms. Matale said that in her work, Rev. Sampa made the presence of the Church through CCZ easily visible and unmistakably identified.

Ms Matale stated that the late Rev. Sampa championed gender equality and women participation at various levels of decision making positions in the country.

She noted that the late Rev. Sampa served as the first ordained female Minister in the United Church of Zambia(UCZ).

Ms Matale added that Ms Sampa later served as General Secretary of the UCZ in Zambia as well as the first women to be party of the Oasis Forum before finally serving as Chawama Member of Parliament.

    • Not surprised, anything to do with PF is violent. Quite surprised though that there are Christians in PF, a Satanic party. Anyway, RIP.
