Vice President Inonge Wina is tomorrow expected to officiate at the second Conference for the National Programme for female Chiefs as advocates of peace and stability in the country.
Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs, Public Relations Officer, Issaac Kanguya said the conference which will be held at Mulungushi International Conference will be attended by 20 female Chiefs, selected Civil Society Organisations and media houses.
Mr. Kanguya said in statement availed to ZANIS that the conference has been called to strategize with the traditional leaders on how best to foster peace, unity and development in Zambia.
He further said the conference has been organized by the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs and is expected to run from April 28-29 , 2015.
Last year, nearly 30 female chiefs from across the country attended the inaugural conference that set parameters for the involvement of traditional leaders in fostering peace and unity in the country.
Why only Female Chiefs? It doesn’t make any sense because it appears they will discuss beyond “being female chief”.
