PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Davies Chama says it is unfortunate that some people are accusing him that he is the one who had influence the withdraw of Elias Daka and William Banda from seeking adoption on the ruling party ticket in Petauke Central.

Meanwhile Mr Daka says it is his personal decision not to continue seeking for adoption on PF ticket stating that he will remain loyal to the ruling party.

Mr Chama said when he addressed PF officials at Eastern Comfort Lodge in Chipata yesterday that some assertions claiming that he influenced the withdraw of Mr Banda and Mr Daka from the race as false.

“I have never told Mr William Banda and Mr Elias Daka to withdraw from seeking adoption on PF ticket. Actually I also learnt this yesterday when i was going to a meeting when someone called me saying the two have withdrawn from the race,” he said.

He said people should be factual saying the two might have decided to withdraw after weighing the ground.
On Tuesday, two leading aspirants at the PF Petauke Central constituency election Mr Daka and Mr Banda pulled out from the race.

But when contacted for a comment, Mr Daka popularly known as Eriboma said he had decided to withdraw from the race in order to unite the party.

He said no one had influenced him to withdraw saying it was purely his decision that he had taken from his deep down of his heart to do so.

“I have never been influenced by any person to withdraw from the race, the reasons are simple, I want to unite the party and support whoever is going to be adopted on PF ticket. I am actually young and still have a long way to go in politics,”Mr Daka said.

And Mr Chama has said that former Petauke member of Parliament Dora Siliya enjoys support from the grassroots in the constituency.

Mr Chama said that all PF aspirants in the June 30 Petauke Central by-election have pledged to support a popular candidate.

Mr Chama said the people who were demonstrating against Ms Siliya’s intention to contest the election are alien to Petauke Central.

“We had a meeting with all aspiring candidates who have applied to contest the forthcoming by-election in Petauke under the PF and Ms Siliya was also in attendance.

“The aspirants expressed shock at the reports and two of them decided to pull out of the race to support a popular candidate who will be picked by the party,’’ he said.

Mr Chama said party members are united and will deliver the seat to the ruling party.

He said PF membership in Eastern Province is growing and that during his stay in the province, he received many defectors to the party.

The secretary general said PF is the only party with structures on the ground.

Mr Chama said the party will continue with membership mobilisation in readiness for the 2016 general elections.

He said people of Eastern Province are happy with Government’s performance because of the many development projects that are being implemented.

  1. They all have to pave way for Dora- RB is a genius. He has managed to penetrate into PF and have all his senior MPs from MMD to have senior positions in PF. He also has managed to bring back the Italian crooks to get back their cement company, despite being deported, and next the Libyans will be back for Zamtel. All that PF fought against in 2011 is back. Alabee…….

  2. There is no credibility in Zambian politics. Chama knows he is lying and everyone knows PF can accept any insults as long It secures them a seat in parliament. Ka Lungu even knows he is compromised and is just quiet

  3. Dirty Zambian politics. Dora Silly(Siliya) after insulting Sata from the inception of pf until his death today a pf member? And recently termed Sata’s 3 years rule worse than xenophobia. We ar watchin I think my vote nw is 4 da Tonga guy its one Zambia one nation

  4. Its a well calculated move. Dora will remain the last “man” standing. She will be adapted by all means. Real politics in play.

  5. That Dora Siliya of yours should be strongly warned not to be insulting the the impeccable and historical image of late trail-blazer Michael Chilufya Sata. Much as you need her number in parliament, what she has started is neither right nor respectable to the image of that real hero, who started and grew PF almost single-highhandedly to eventually form government. Which other politician in the annals of Zambian politics can claim such a feat- NONE!

  6. Insults is her forte- former husband, ‘chili teti’, and so on. It’s hoped nobody is considering giving her a cabinet or any post, should she win that constituency. That would mean confirming her insults of the late president, and by extension, PF itself! This is a timely WARNING!

    • I support your sentiments Chitutuma, I equally urge Kambwili and others to be strong in this wave to steal PF by shameless Plunderers who take advantage of every opportunity. For now we may not blame EL for hosting MMD plunderers into PF, we blame it on TONGA’S tribalism and also RUPIYA’S tribal record. PF can only win elections if Eastern province gave it 100% vote. TONGAS votes from one province swallowed up LUAPULA, MUCHINGA and EASTERN provinces. BUT for corrupt Dora, we still dont like you despite these changing political dynamics, Hoooo!!

  7. Many including the Post Newspaper passed unpalatable language on Sata but reconciled and there was no such bash as with Dora. Dora is only unpopular with Mmembes doctrine of hate and malice. Dora will win the bye election with easy and everyone knows that. What the malcontents expected was Dora to join UPND. Then there would have been praises. Game over for upnd in eastern province.
Game over and is surely over for mmembe and mutombe nchito

  8. He who laughs last, laughs the most! RB is having a good time indeed, despite being a de facto president of both Zambia and the PF. What a clever man Bwezani is really!

  9. If this is the case, let us split PF. Let there be MMDFP and PF original. Sata would never have allowed his party to be infiltrated by those whom he strained so much to remove from power because of misrule and corruption. Chishimba Kambwili is 100% in the right direction to refuse to recognise Dora in PF. All true members and founders of PF can not stomach this coup de party wrought by RB and his MMD group. It is as if the death of Sata is a blessing to all those whom he disciplined in one way or another. The impunity and gee with which anti-Sata elements are falling over one other to get into PF is a source of concern. Sata extended hands to opposition members of parliament to work with him and they did but none had been antagonistic to him before. Dora has suddenly become adorable.

  10. Just wait for 2016, there are rumours within the ranks of Pf saying Lungu has sold PF. Sata’s foot soldiers and co- founders are meeting and Lungu will be challenged. Northern, muchinga, luapula are not happy and this is why Lungu is appointing people who may not have the ability to champion what PF stands for. Mulenga Sata is also not happy especially that Lungu has not made any objection for insulting his dad. Mulenga has even spoken to family members and close confidence about stepping down. This is why Lungu ended up phoning RB to tame Dora while Banda requested to tame Kambwili. However the fear is causing panic to Lungu as he knows going after Kambwili will do harm than good and it could define the beginning of losing strong holds on the CB, Lsk , luapula, northern and Muchinga.

  11. In an African context ,the legacy of a dead person goes nowhere
The legacy of mr sata is melting like ice.The clever sg who can’t listen to founder members can not even look behind and think what brought PF into power.why was br removed with Dora.surely why can’t he read the patterns of zambians

  12. I pity Daka why waste your resources when you knew you never intended to continue in the race? Please forget about politics you will never make it, you are always chickening out. I doubt if you have followers who take you seriously now .

  13. RB is a true hero of this comedy! We thought we kicked him out of power; but he being like a “cat”, has many lives. He is back with his corrupt clique ruling us yet again. Well done RB, my hat-off! You’re a genius and it makes me feel a big fool for having risked so much for PF against your ruthless regime. I wish I had just moved along because the more things changed, the more they have remained the same. The same people who put our lives and jobs on the line for supporting PF, are the same that are enjoying the fruits of PF! Is this the same PF we supported to help us get rid of the corrupt RB?

  14. All of you bloggers on this channel (UPND, ZWD, Membe supporters included) have short memories. HH has welcomed GBM, Masebo, Mutati into UPND as heroes. RB is no more corrupt than HH, Sata or any Zambian politician for that matter. RB and his ex MMD supporters in EASTERN Province made it possible for PF to be still in power to the extent of at least 27,000 votes. Without RB and EASTERN province MMD there would be no SATA LEGACY to talk about now except SATA’s 3 year term of office self-inflicted termination by the Likes of GUY SCOT and the Cartel not RB. Be realistic and truthful in your hallucinations about RB
