FAZ Super Division side Forest Rangers have confirmed Kaunda Simonda as club head coach.
Simonda has been acting as Forest head coach since the firing of Dabid Chilufya on April 9.
Club chairman Richard Kalasa said Simonda has been given a contract up to the end of the season after which it will be reviewed.
The ex-Roan United assistant coach has guided Forest from the bottom six of the table to third position.
“We have confirmed Simonda Kaunda as our head coach. He is no longer caretaker coach,” Kalasa said.
The Dola Hill outfits have won their last five matches in a row in which they have defeated Zesco United, Green Eagles and Konkola Blades.
Meanwhile, Forest Rangers have confirmed hiring Israel Mwanza as club assistant coach.
Mwanza joins Forest on a one year contract just a month after leaving Division One North side FQM Mining where he was dismissed as head coach.
“Israel Mwanza is our new assistant coach. He joins our technical bench on a one year contract,” Kalasa said.
Mwanza has previously worked at his childhood club Nchanga Rangers as deputy coach before becoming head trainer at Mufulira Wanderers.
