Sports Power give Chilumba four weeks rest after surgery

Power Dynamos coach and ex-Chipolopolo star Tennant Chilumba will be sidelined for a month after having his appendix removed on Tuesday at Wusakile Hospital in Kitwe.

Chilumba was admitted on Monday night before undergoing surgery on Tuesday.

Power secretary Ricky Mamfunda said Chilumba is expected to be discharged in two days time.

“He underwent an operation for appendicitis and the operation to remove his
appendix was successful,” Mamfunda said.

“He will be discharged in the next 24 to 48 hours but he will still be given enough rest for a period of about four weeks
