The opposition UPND has scooped the Bululu ward in Kasama Central Constituency with its candidate Mr Mutale Kabwe receiving 781 beating his closest rival Jack Chola of the PF who got 587 in Thursday’s by election.
And UPND Vice President Geofrey Mwamba has described the victory as a dress rehearsal.
Bululu Ward Returning Officer Davies Sikazwe declared Mr Mutale as winner at 22:45 hours after polling 772 votes against Mr Chola of the PF.
MMD’s Joseph Chunga was trailing behind after he polled 92 votes.
Meanwhile, the Patriotic Front has won the Chiba ward by-election in Lukashya constituency after its candidate Pilate Chilambe polled 821 votes against his closest rival Emmanuel Chileshe of the FDD who got 398 votes.
UPND’s Cosmas Chomba got 181 votes while Abias Kabambala of the MMD polled 42 votes.
And Mr Mwamba who is former Kasama Central PF MP said the UPND’s victory in Kasama is a dress rehearsal for the main event to be announced soon by the ECZ in reference to the Kasama Central parliamentary by election.
Mr Mwamba said the UPND has entered PF’s bedroom and it is time to separate the men from the boys.
‘We await the contender and he surely ought to come prepared because they will be humiliated beyond recognition. Let me also refer to the threats that have been made on the pending arrests to the opposition members. I strongly remind those making these threats that they are missing a point. In any democratic dispensation like ours, and during elections it is expected that there will be victors and the vanquished,’ Mr Mwamba warned.
He said what has happened in Bululu ward is the beginning of the real game.
‘Just accept that you have been defeated straight and fair. The violence is actually perpetrated by their cadres who travelled from as far as Lusaka. I will not be intimidated by those threats,’ he said.
‘This is it. From here on it’s Go Go Forward with UPND and HH. Northern power here we come. 2016 is in our sights.’

Kasama Central will be a violent place in the lead up to the by-election. Fat Albert will stop at nothing to retain the seat and show that he is popular in Kasama. ECL has issued an arrest warning to GBM and Nawakwi for sponsoring violence and encouraging people to cease government property according to today’s POST. Chintinya obviously but Fat Albert is capable of anything.

My analysis is this, there is no way any sane person especially the Northerners can vote for someone who has betrayed Mr. Sata and his party.
