Lubambo shines in modest weekend for Zambia’s stars

Lubambo Musonda stole the show for Zambia’s overseas stars who were in action over the weekend.

The midfielder scored his debut goal for his new Armenian club Gandzasar on Saturday in the 4th placed sides 3-2 away win over second from bottom Mika.

Lubambo, who played his fourth match for Gandazar, scored the opening goal in the 15th minute.

On Sunday in France, defender Stopilla Sunzu was dropped for Lille’s 0-0 home draw with Bordeuax.

In China, Jacob Mulenga played the full 90 minutes in number 5 side Shijiazhuang Yongchang’s 1-0 away loss at 11th placed Chongqing Lifan.

  1. Lubambo is in great form, and the coach left him out of Kenya match, maybe it is good for Lubambo to earn himself a number at his new club, or it is the Zambian coach way of selecting players.
