Rainbow Party General Secretary, Wynter Kabimba, says there is need to transform the governance system into a society that offers equal opportunities for all.

Addressing party officials in Livingstone , Mr. Kabimba says capitalism has not worked for Zambia in the last twenty four years because it gives selective opportunities.

Mr. Kabimba says socialism is the best system for Zambia as it gives equal opportunities to all citizens without discrimination.

Meanwhile Mr. Kabimba has implored his members to go flat out and campaign ahead of the 2016 tripartite elections.

Mr. Kabimba told his members that it takes hard work and serious mobilization for any party to win general elections.

  1. I CAN NOT trust this entity Wynter Kabimba and his twisted mind..he reminds me of that boar character Napoleon in George Orwell’s novel; Animal Farm..very treacherous man.

“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”
    ? George Orwell, Animal Farm

    • A plus for Wynter is that he’s building his party around an idea, an ideolgy.
Most of these other parties were created for the sole purpose of going to state house. This has seen the mushrooming of so many parties that don’t make sense. The only difference between Muliokela’s party & PF, for example, is that MCS could afford a nomination fee.
Dismissing Wynter with insults just shows how shallow minded we are. And to think we are the “informed” electorate.

    • KABIMBA IS SUCH A DAFT PERSON I AM SHOCKED THIS IS THE EDIOT WE HAD AS LEGAL MINISTER AND WHATEVER. I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE FIRING OF HIM BY THE LATE SATA WAS ACTUALLY LONG OVERDUE. HE IS SHOCKINGLY DULL.

  2. This Kabimba is just the type we do not need. Socialism did not work under UNIP either. Where were you in the 70s and 80s Mr Kabimba? socialism has never worked anywhere ask Cuba, Russia and China.

China only became a force AFTER it abandoned socialism and most of its Maoist ways.

    • Just s correction. China, Russia, and Cuba are communist, and not socialist. Socialism actually if done correctly is a great system. Look at India, Canada, The Scandinavian block of countries all have socialist rule. I believe zambia should adopt a socialist system in order to maintain our major industries. Right now our mines are run by foreigners, the retail market is all owned by foreigners.

    • It works in China. So far only the Soviet union broke away from socialism. All socialist countries are existing including North Korea, Cuba despite heavy sanctions against them

    • ba Nkowane,
what books have you been reading? If I may ask. Russia is not a communist government. It’s a federation. The Soviet Union was socialist. And Canada is not socialist. Neither are any of the Scandinavian countries. Neither is India. But don’t take my word for it. Look it up yourself. Just rely on more current and objective resources. Not ancient propaganda.

  3. Kabimba is a flag bearer of M’membe’s vision of socialism. Capitalism has given immense opportunities to the people of Zambia, the man large enterprises that we are seeing right now is because of FTJ and his free market idea. If Kabimba and M’membe can’t see that Capitalism has worked in Zambia, then let them rot in homosexual party called Rainbow.
Zambian’s can’t afford to have UBZ and other non-performing state entities like Zamtel. We can’t go back to old ideas red lips Kabimba. And lastsly, are you going to nationalise M’membe’s Past Newspaper, because socialism is about nationalisation?

  4. Kabimba, kindly explain how socialism is going to work in Zambia. May be you have a point but without any further elaboration I am sure this is could be a case of serious day dreaming which requires urgent medical attention or else who are destined to BECOME a mental patient.

    • In Kabimbas dreams!

      Reality is quite different.

This IDI0T needs to wake up and smell the coffee that we could not even find in the shops in KKs time.

      What an ignoramus!

  5. Imwe’ Ba Kamimbya!!
Since when have you been a Socialist, imwe’??
You loved dodgy Contracts, & other underhand cash generating schemes under P.F, which is NOT Socialism. Remember Trafigura contract???
ALL YOU ARE COMRADE KAMIMBYA IS A “CHAMPAGNE SOCIALIST”.
Only a Socialist/ Communist, when it suits your Greedy ends.
Im sure if Zambians votred you to power today (which will Not happen), You would quickly revert back to your Neo -Con Capitalist self.
Remember one thing Mr Kamimbya, YOU CAN FOOL PEOPLE SOMETIMES, BUT YOU CAN’T FOOL PEOPLE ALL THE TIME!

  6. Look Kambimba, KK practiced socialism for 27 years and only succeeded in bringing our country to its knees. In socialism, it creates a class of rulers or super humans, who are supposed to dictate the agenda for the next layers at the bottom. It creates exactly the opposite of what Kabimba is trying to say but not succeeding, it enforces the ruling class who enjoy power and wealth, and a working class who will live in perpertual poverty. In short Kabimba and Mmembe will continue to enjoy imported wine while the rest drink chibwantu. And the worst thing about Kabimba’s socialism is that it deprives the poor of the chance to advance themselves because they are not supposed to “compete” with the ruling class of Mmembe and Kajbimba.

  7. Have you noticed that the Past news have launched a full blown campaign for Kabimba for the presidential elections? The Past is so desperate that this time they are not hiding their intentions to control power but seriously campaigning for Mmembe’s proxy president, Kabimba. Look at how they are selling Kabimba at their Past ” Freedom” Committee meetings. He features virtually daily, this weekend he is in Livingstone and then Choma the next day tomorrow.

  8. Kabimba, please give us a case study of successful implementation of socialism in the world. I think it is high time we should start digging deeper about his performance at UNZA and wherever he has worked. I am sure his success in PF is nothing but due to the wind of change in 2011. The wind of change usually does not bring out good leaders just like the 1991 one. Anyone who could have stood against KK would have become president of this country. Country men and women, let us start digging deeper or else this country is destined to total failure. Intellectuals, please stand up and be counted, Zambia is the only country that we have and no any other. Let us wake up from our slumber whilst we still have our legs to carry us.

  9. Socialism has failed to work in this country. It failed with UNIP! Let us not kid ourselves that everyone got equal opportunities. That was not true. It also failed in Tanzania. Result the two countries became poorer! What we need are unselfish, selfless leDers who can take the country forward!

  10. Comment:
It’s was tried by Kaunda’s humanism effort, and how Zambian suffered! All over many parts parts of the world where socialist regimes were constructed, citizens witnessed and continue to suffer untold misery and deprivation. Not a model for Zambia at all.

  11. Come 2016, with this kind of approach to politics, Rainbow will be beaten by the like 4th Revolution Party, Heritage Party and Mululiokela. This party will definitely make Nawakwi and Nevers to look like geniuses in Zambian politics.

  12. :@Nkowane There is no communist country. All those countries you say are communist are actually socialist. Communism is the final stage in Marx’s prognosis of socialism ‘ s path. The Scandinavian countries aren’t socialist but social welfare states. India is capitalist.
@Onezed China has not abandoned socialism. Go there and see for yourself. They have ingeniously fused capitalism and socialism thereby proving that both ideologies can coexist because the world is equally diverse. That fusion has seen China become the worlds second biggest economy so socialism isnt something to dismiss. It works. The Chinese haven’t abandoned Maoism as you put it. just go read the red book. @ terrible on Kabimba, KK didn’t practice socialism for 27 years. Zambianisation of industry only started in…

  13. When the madness of an entire nation disturbs a solitary mind, its not enough to say the man is mad. Lets give Kabimba’s recent acts and utterances the benefit of doubt.

  14. can some one tell this assss hole to stop fooling people of zambia and shut his mouth and open his asss hole for the sheet to come out he does not kno what he is talking

  15. Not socialism please. That is why as PF SG you made friends with terrible regimes in the world: North Korea, Sudan. Cuba is different. They were blocked by the US and had to maintain relations with socialist Russia for survival. The result is that Cuba is almost 200 years behind in terms of development. The good thing about the regime in Cuba is that it was people-oriented and not selfish as most of Zambia’s leadership has demonstrated over the years.

Anyway, win the elections first and when you do you will nationalise privately owned companies, as your PF did Zamtel, Zambians will have a rude shock. The capitalist system is superior as it creates wealth which government through prudent expenditure cane channel to the population.

Nkowane has no clue as to what a socialist system is…

  16. It is better to let a politician expound his ideas before ruling him out. What I am aware is most of the infrastructure (Plants and Mines) these investors are using were first built before 1991, and only a few later. Importing most things is not what you can call progress, unless we do not see the ditch we are about to fall into.

  17. Hallucinations! Socialism has never worked anywhere in the world. Winter is confusing corruption and capitalism. Corruption which started with MMD has reached a climax under PF! Winter should study how Singapore developed. He will stop hallucinating!
