Zambia face 2017 Africa Cup hosts Gabon on Tuesday night at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka as George Lwandamina goes in search his third successive win.
Lwandamina heads into the friendly after a very productive weekend away in Nairobi where his troops defeated Kenya 2-1 in a 2017 Africa Cup qualifier.
Zambia are expected to field almost the same side from Sundays win with the inclusion of several locals who never made the final 18 on Sunday with an eye on next months 2016 CHAN final round qualifiers against Mozambique.
Zesco United striker Winston Kalengo will be hoping to add to his tally of three goals so far in as many games for Zambia after netting one against Kenya.
He is currently the national team top scorer in 2015 with three goals.
And Gabon come to Zambia on a high after a resounding 4-0 home win over Sudan in another friendly last Saturday.
Meanwhile, the friendly will be the first time the two sides will clash since 2010 when Zambia beat Gabon 2-1 in a Group D fixture at the Africa Cup tournament in Benguela, Angola.
For some time now I have not heard about independence and matero stadiums… Where is that Heroes stadium located?
Good test for the lads. Hope they keep up the momentum. Heroes is just next to Independence Stadium, very close for that.
Don’t play the unZambian and very annoying game like you did against Kenya – feigning injuries. It is so frustrating.
what do u know about soccer, that was part of the play for slowing them down, their tempo was to high.
Comment:we hope they wil acceraret more
