Prominent Kitwe clergyman Prophet Emmanuel Nyirongo, who recently made headlines for turning water into paraffin, has died in a road traffic accident at Baluba area in Luanshya.

Prophet Nyirongo, who was returning from Lusaka with four of his followers, is among two people who lost their lives as three others are still battling for their lives at Kitwe Central Hospital.

Prophet Faith Missions Vice Chairman Elison Sakala has confirmed the death of the clergyman saying the accident happened around 03 and 04hrs on Sunday Morning.

Elder Sakala says preliminary investigations indicate that the minibus they were travelling in overturned killing Prophet Nyirongo’s assistant Pastor instantly.

He added that Prophet Nyirongo later died at Wusakile Mine Hospital.

The bodies of the deceased are lying at Kitwe Central Hospital where the other two survivors are battling for their lives while one has since been discharged.

Meanwhile, dozens of church members were this morning found seated outside the church as some men removed furniture from the building en route to the funeral house following the suspension of church services.

Prophet Nyirongo used to run a weekly Christian programme on ZNBC TV1 called 30 Minutes of Power with Prophet Emmanuel Nyirongo.

    • These road accidents awe mwee… What is it in Zambia? Even Edgar never talked anything in “annoyed speech” related to this “traffic accidents”.

    • Sad Indeed. The fact is that there is no form of prayer that can counter fatigue. its a natural and scientific fact that the only way to curb accidents is by fatigue management and not driving under influence of alcohol and drugs. finally also driver training is also cardinal. You will here of the devil now causing this. People ignorance is killing us. MTSRIP

    • Another needless death.

We need to do something drastic and immediate to curb this road carnage.
The country is being robbed of citizens that can help move it forward.

Do we need the president to die in an RTA for us to do he right things?

    • All Zambia drivers need to be retrained and retested as most of them may have fake drivers licence or might have been taught to drive by unlicenced instructors. I don’t think most of the Zambian drivers can spot and avoid hazards. Furthermore, i don’t think most drivers understand the highway codes which stipulates how to read road signs including speed limits on main roads. And sadly, there is too much drink driving in Zambia.

  1. Condolences to the bereaved family. It’s strongly recommended not to travel late in the night or early hours especially on Zambian roads. Better sleep and start off the following morning, life is so precious ladies and gentlemen

    • Why is it bad, @Sena? How else would he have access to heaven if not by dying? Let us celebrate his life and rejoice that he kept his faith unto his day of appointment.

  2. Very sad. But With the deadly Zambian roads, what was so urgent for the preacher man to travel so late in the night? Yes, fatigue and speeding was involved. Plus, Zambians don’t like to wear seat belts. On these Zambian roads, I wouldn’t drive at over 80Kmh at night. Anyway, condolences to his church and family. And hope his miracles were genuine miracles otherwise he’ll be answerable before God.

    • ..@ZION…

  6. MY PROPHET,MY PASTOR,AM REALLY SAD COZ GOD USED YOU TO HELPED ME AT ONE TIME WHEN I WAS IN BIG PROBLEM WITH MY WIFE AND SERVED ALOT OF SOULS.R.I.P PAPA.CRYING….GOD….GOD….WHY SO FAST?.

  7. Irony is a Prophet not able to foresee his own death. Now it is time to face the maker to judge him whether he was a true or fake Prophet.

  8. Exodus 20:7 says, “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name”. You can’t mess around with the name of God and expect to leave a full life. Lesa nimalyotola bane.

  9. may your soul rest in peace brother.i remember him during our time at school(ndeke high school) he really had the calling from God.i was so proud that a person i spent time with at school become such a great person.how miss you brother

  10. wonder if RTSA goes to accident scenes to compile reports so that we know if its vehicle faults or its human error. This is important to avoid future accidents

  11. We salute his contribution to the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We Speak like Paul Today nothing can separate us from the love of God. To God be the Glory!!!!

    • Ba Ditiro, the truth of the gospel is COMPLETE… If anyone adds or takes away from the word of prophesy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life or God will add to him plagues resp. (Rev. 22:18-19). take heed!

  12. Comment:
Pharaoh’s magicians were iconic prophets in Egypt who cemented their fame by challenging Aaron and Mosheh in turning anything into anything. But they could not prevent Pharaoh’s mighty army from being swallowed up by the red sea after the Hebrews crossed the same. If Pharaoh’s magicians went to heaven after death then no doubt Heaven is for everyone regardless; and profet Emmanuel Nyirongo is surely dinning with his fellow magicians in heaven as we write. And if it were true that pipo’s souls go to rest after death then surely i could have wished the man of god to rest in peace.

  15. Comment: i strongly believe that the man of GOD will come back to life;but that can only be so unless it is the LORD’S will just to show as that HE is able to raise the dead even now and for his name to be glorified.LET HIS WILL BE DONE!!!

  16. ALMIGHTY GOD CAN NEVER BE MOCKED! STOP PLAYING GOD PLEASE. THESE DAYS MAGIC FROM THE POWERS OF DARKNESS IS BEING USED ON THE PULPIT, AND PEOPLE CLAIM IT IS A MIRACLE FROM GOD. EXAMINE YOURSELF WHO EVER CALLS HIMSELF PROPHET. ARE YOU A GOD-SENT PROPHET, OR YOU ARE A PROPHET OF DOOM? ISN’T THE LOVE FOR MONEY AND RECOGNITION WHAT IS MAKING YOU CLAIM TO BE PROPHET? FEAR GOD AND GIVE HIM GLORY AND HONOR!

  17. My big regret about this man’s death is that before he died he did not convert one of our lakes into paraffin so we can have an endless supply of this fuel. I would have recommended lake Ishiba Ng’andu which is located up there where the Luangwa river meets the Chambeshi River. A perfect lake for this paraffinication abracadabra.

  18. May God strength da family n all da church,Rest in peace man of God as u left this world whilst from doing da work of God.Til we meet again

  19. Pliz do not fudge, moreover the bible says touch not my anointed one so why being gudgemental.and if ba nyirongo was a real man of God wil punish u for saying negative words against a man of God.May God forgive.may his soul rest in peace .

  20. no don’t even say that ..he over speed-ed………\ the bible say who ever speed on a dual careg way deceive to die >>>>>so th man deceive it big time ……

  21. GOD is never mocked. stop those negative comments, don’t you people fear GOD. I tell you the truth GOD is never mocked. do you know where prophet Nyirongo is for now, of course the answer is know. then who are to question GOD. do you know the day you will die, and where you will be after death, only GOD knows. I therefore appeal to all of you who passed bad comments, to ask GOD for forgiveness before it is too late take it or leave it .Remember, any one who sin against the fresh will be forgiven. but anyone who sin against the spirit will never never be forgiven. what type of sin are those negative comments, fresh or spirit.

  22. indeed the bible says thou shall not judge, and we are told in the book psalms : touch not my anointed ones and do my prophets no harm

  23. we are all Zambian’s which means regardless of who raised you were taught to show respect. the people that lost their lives had people they were very dear to and if you have ever lost someone like that then you know the last thing you want to is people on social media analyzing the death of the people you lost. show respect by either saying a simple “my condolences or m.h.s.r.i.p” this is not the right time nor the place for you to share your brilliant ideas or opinions. please be respectful and remember to do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.
