Nkana in relegation scare after Napsa loss

Napsa Stars on Thursday kept their hopes of surviving relegation alive after stunning Nkana 1-0 in Wusakile.

Talented forward Saith Sakala grabbed the only goal of this FAZ Super Division Week 27 match at Nkana Stadium after 70 minutes.

It was a dull match watched by a sizeable crowd in Wusakile.

The win pushed Napsa one place up the table as they now sit in 13th position with 27 points.

Wilson Mwale’s Napsa are just a point behind the relegation line.

Meanwhile, Nkana who are yet to survive relegation remain stuck in 8th place with 34 points after 27 matches played.

Aggrey Chiyangi’s under-performing Kitwe giants have so far posted 11 losses, seven draws and nine wins.

Nkana now needs at least three points from the remaining three matches to be sure of avoiding relegation.
