Police in Kitwe on the Copperbelt have arrested one more person in connection with the gruesome murder of three Chinese Nationals from the same family.
These are Wang Gang, Wang Wei and Wang You whose ages are still being ascertained.
Copperbelt police Chief Joyce Kasosa says Police also recovered K6,500.00 from the suspect who was arrested in Chipata district of Eastern Province after a chase.
Mrs. Kasosa told ZNBC News in an interview in Kitwe that K3000.00 has also been discovered from the mother of the suspect who is currently in Police custody.
The Chinese Nationals are proprietors of Golden Kings Investments Company Limited a firm involved in the manufacture of roofing sheets and other materials.
She said the mother whose name has been withheld did not disclose to police that she had been given money by her son until he was apprehended in Chipata.
Police have identified two of the three men on the run as Norman Kachingwe and John Mwanza who were employees of the Chinese firm for close to two years.
The three suspected assailants used axes, iron bars and stones in the killings, in a murderous rage that has shocked many residents.
Three other Chinese Nationals from the same family are nursing injuries after being hacked in the same attack.
That was a barbaric way of killing them. Quick recovery to the injured.
