Patriotic Front (PF) youths in Southern Province have strongly condemned the United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres for attacking Vice President Inonge Wina’s relatives and damaging property at her private house in Nalolo Constituency in Western Province.
PF Choma Central Constituency Secretary Joel Kamoko described the attacks by UPND cadres on Ms Wina’s relatives and property as barbaric and unacceptable.
In an interview with ZANIS in Choma, Mr Kamoko accused the UPND cadres of practicing stone-age politics by attacking and beating up innocent citizens.
“As PF youths in Choma, we want to strongly condemn the behaviour by UPND cadres to attack innocent relatives and property of Ms Wina. This goes to show the lack of respect from this opposition party,” he said.
The cadres, who were in Nalolo, Western Province, to accompany their party president Hakainde Hichilema, allegedly beat up Ms Wina’s relatives and smashed windows.
This happened on Saturday in Mongu when Mr Hichilema was in the area to pay homage to Litunga Limboela in Moyo.
Mr. Kamoko has since challenged Mr Hichilema to chastise his party members from acts of violence and let peace continue to prevail in the country.
Mr Kamoko said, instead of the opposition party investing its energy to explain what it could to do to the people of Zambia, the party had resorted to politics of attacks.
He said politics should not wreck the ‘One Zambia One Nation’ motto because the country was founded on the principle of peace and love.
“There was no any single attack on Inonge Wina’s residence. I am a police officer and a resident of Nalolo Constituency and I can confirm to you that there was no such attack on the Vice President‘s resident. In any case, an attack on the Vice President ‘s compound is Not possible even by well advanced criminals because the house is surrounded by a wall fence and is 24 hours guarded every day by the police and 5 private security men employed by the Vice President herself. Also the area is guarded by other local guards because it is part of the property for the loyal family.”

Report coming from Nalolo claims this report about the attack is not even true. For the sake of the doubting Thomases, I inclusive, may we have evidence. I mean pictures of the residence to prove attacks took place. Why didn’t dead NBC crew or is it ZANIS go to the residence to take pics and interviews.

Ba Wina, roads were blocked with logs when our president HH was arriving in Mongu. We as UPND did not rush to ZNBC to shed tears in front of the camera while appealing for sympathy. No one even talked about it.
No one covered our leader HH on TV when him and his supporters were tear gassed on the Copperbelt.

Kamoko is 100% correct.The UPND is well known by Zambians as a violent and tribal party.Indeed they are practicing stone age politics and their leader should try to contest as a councilor first in 2016,MP in 2021 and president in 2016.
