Chitembeya mocks FAZ over corruption allegations

Share

Former FAZ executive committee member Henschel Chitembeya has predicted that there will be more internal wrangles at Football House ahead of the 2016 elective annual general meeting.

Last week, Kelvin Mutafu resigned as FAZ treasurer days after alleging that the association was corrupt.

And Chitembeya, who wants to contest for presidency at the 2016 FAZ elections, said it is good that the current executive has started exposing itself.

Before quitting Mutafu claimed that Zambia lost the Nike kit deal because of alleged corruption.

He also charged that there was a syndicate of ticket sales after the association allegedly blocked Vane Technologies and Shoprite from doing computerised tickets for the association.

In an interview in Kitwe, Chitembeya said he was not surprised that allegations of corruption have resurfaced at Football House.

“I am not that these allegations of corruption have com up again in FAZ.

FAZ is not run in a transparency, openness and accountability manner but it is good that these people are now exposing themselves,” he said.

“I expect more resignations in the association and more attacks on each other ahead of the elections,” Chitembeya said.

He further charged that the Kalusha Bwalya led FAZ executive should be voted out next year because it has betrayed its members.

“If you are not transparent as an association then you are simply betraying people who voted for you. Therefore this executive must be voted out next year.
We need leaders who can restore the lost confidence in FAZ.”

  1. Kalusha will not be voted out. Zambians are used of mediocracy and non accountability in leadership. Any one in leadership can abuse resources or mismanagement a project leading to total failure, nothing will be done, that is the way of PF, donchi kubeba.

  2. One has to look at the caliber of people who vote there ….these are people who worship Galu regardless of circumstances!!

  3. Galu was a self appointed henchman of Sepp Blatter and Old man Issa Hayatou. The trio must GO. Galu forces the young and upcoming soccer players to sign under the fronts he has set up and controls their movement, which turns out to be dissastrous most of the time.

Kalu’s time is up and we have seen him clinging to Chagwa for survival of late. Kalu, Chagwa, Issa Hayatou and Sepp Blatter must all GO

  4. Mpangula, welcome back after a long hiding. Hope this is the same Mpangula who used to contribute years ago or is this someone else with the same name????

  5. The id1ot complaining also want to come and steal. what is it that he wants from Faz? stealing nothing else. He knows Zambians cant run an organization without being corrupt. He won that position because he was in kalu’s camp at the convetion and now he calls him corrupt just because he couldn’t see the same dirty money when he was treasurer? and some of you fools you support him. The main problem with zambian football is education period! kalu is taking advantage of these dull id1ots who cant even write or read an e-mail

  6. When Kalu goes, certainly not you Chitembeya. You were there before and did foko, just go back to brewing beer at northern breweries.

  7. When I come to think of it none of the so called administrators has a clean bill of their activities, this reminds me about the funds raised to rebuild Dag Hammarskjoeld stadium there was late Pat Puta, Tom Mtine etc. Does someone know what really happened?
