UPND describes PF performance in 2015 as ‘disastrous’

Share

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has described the performance of the PF Government in the year 2015 as ‘disastrous’.

UPND Chairman for Rural Reconstruction and Development Moono Mapani says it is a known fact that most sectors have suffered shocks under the PF administration more especially after taking over from late President Michael Sata.

Mr. Mapani says the Agriculture, Mining, Education, Health, Manufacturing and Economic sectors have been limping under the PF.

He says it is therefore important that the PF should take a sober reflection on what they have achieved this year saying their performance has been below par.

He adds that farmers have been subjected to inhuman treatment by the government and that the distribution of the farming inputs and the paying of farmers who sold their maize to FRA has been another nightmare for the hard working farmers.

Mr. Mapani says this year alone, has seen so many miners loosing jobs because of poor policies by the PF Government and that farmers have failed to cope up with life due to the current social and economical challenges in the country.

  1. Ok. Now what next for UPND? in January they quoted Mutati for Veep and now it seems he is proving to be a weak soldier and opportunist and flowing in the direction where it is seemingly easier- the PF direction. Should UPND and FDD consider an alliance? Anyway MMd is just alive in the press and that is the reality not seen by Mutati and PF as usual.

    • at least UPND can boast of being a party that can compete with the ruling party to an extent of being the closest competitor and giving the ruling party sleepless nights. Now what about you? Other than getting married, what else have you achieved in life?

  2. I really fail to understand their existence. They wanted 50% + 1, they vote against, they advocated for running mate thinking Mutati will be with them
Upon learning that he no longer can trust this Bantustan Party a puzzle who to become a running mate between GBM & Cannisius Banda haunts them. Their blind followers still sing praises without seeing these inconsistencies.

    • We are still waiting for the 500,000 jobs promised by lungu, and their chief spokesperson went on air to shamlessly declare that no miner will be retrenchent…..then we have a sitting GRZ shamlessly borrowing heavily so as to steal by over inflating prices of roads and pocketing the difference. We have all gov departments drawning in corruption allegations and abuse of public funds while they participate and lookaway like at FAZ…..they are afraid of making people accountable incase the corruption sticks and follows them even to the toliet

  3. Why did Zuma fire his finance minister within a week of appointiment if it is not for the bad economic prevailing in that country.but these upnd chaps want to potray the picture like its only zambia which is facing economic hardship due to the government failures. But they are forgeting that it is due to global trends.I hope that the people knew that the Rand even touched 16.06 to a dollar

  4. Only sober zambians who put County before tribe and corruption can see that things are not right and yes we know it the fault of chaina….it’s Elnino….it’s a global thing…it’s a regional thing….it’s the rainfall….it’s the opposition….it’s commodity prices…..it’s happening to everyone so we should not complain…..

  5. Indeed they are preparing for the next defeat ba UPND.Mutati is a wise man and he can not be lured to join a tribal party with no future.

  6. HH cannot be trusted leader of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), an alliance of three opposition political parties. In the 2006 election, Hichilema was the candidate of the UDA,he is the same as nevers mumba
