MMD Leader Nevers Mumba says will not heed to advice to use witchcraft to win the republican presidency.
Speaking in Katete district in Eastern Province yesterday when he addressed party members, Dr. Mumba said people who have used witchcraft to ascend to the presidency do not last long in office and the nation undergoes a lot of anguish during their reign.
‘I want to speak about what somebody told me, he said Dr Mumba, these politics you have entered, the only thing that works is witchcraft, all the politicians have witches, sangomas, beads on their waists and in the night they do allot of things to make them become MPs, Presidents,’ Dr Mumba said.
Dr Mumba said, ‘The only thing I have in my waist is my Bible and I am not scared because at the end of the day, those that become Presidents using fetishes, they don’t last and their lives are hell because when the devil gives you the presidency, he will be knocking every day, you have to pay me for giving you the presidency, blood, accidents, problems in the country which you can’t solve but for me, he can’t bother me because i don’t owe him anything. It is either Jesus or nothing else.’
And we are supposed to say amen?Why even say that?

We give witchcraft too much credibility. If witchcraft was as powerful as people put it we would have presidential elections every year going by the number of people that yarn to be president. Whilst it is true that some people practice witchcraft the power alluded to the practice are merely an illusion and an exaggeration at best purely to create fear in you. It is the fear of what you do not know that scares the hell out of you. With the level of political hatred in the country don’t you think those that lose elections can easily sort you out without resorting to the tedious, expensive and usually predictable court process? There are only two ways of winning an election in Zambia an outright massive yes vote or massive rigging, then pray that people don’t riot!

Nevers Mumba is as irrelevant and untrustworthy as they come and he states that the only thing in his waist is the bible; so if the word of God was written by man, what does that make the people who wrote the bible? Thank goodness our young ones are beginning to wake up to these lies and starting to study more about Afrikan consciousness and self…they are asking the questions they docile adults are too affair to ask about religion.

Cheap shot on Mumba. Witchcraft has never solved anything. Africa would have developed long time if Witchcraft was the answer. Sadly Africa was colonised and witchcraft never rose to defeat the imperialists armies. It is there to destroy African society and pity family member against another, neighbour against neighbour.

Sometimes people want things so badly they convince themselves supernatural elements will guarantee their mediocrity is imposed on others. Others use the weakness of those who believe in the supernatural to elevate themselves. The bible in one hand, gun in the other and superstition on the tongue has made billions for some. Just ask Double J and don’t be quick to take offence.
These presidents have no PR teams or what. Why would you even talk about witchcraft? It’s an illusion and a fallacy that charms can help you advance. Most witches are poorer than the people they claim to be helping.

The new Tanzanian president is such a breath of fresh air. How I wish the Zambian president can get some pointers from this man. But its sad to have people like Nevers in the opposition. Nevers was fired by Mwanawasa because of his extravagancy. He has continued to behave like this in MMD. He behaves as if MMD is swimming in money. What can he now tell us? @Comedians president Magufuli is not afterall a fresh of breath air in Africa. He has slowly started faltering. He has just instructed private schools to reduce school fees. A dictator in the making.
