United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema has revealed that his party would put in place three parallel voter tabulation (PVT) systems in order to secure the votes in the Presidential elections to be held next year.
Speaking during the meet-the-UPND party president fundraising dinner in Solwezi, Mr Hichilema told party members that there was need to be aggressive in next year’s general elections if landslide victory was to be assured.
“Voter malpractice in Zambia is real, therefore we have to guard our votes at all costs and in order to do this as a party we will put in place three PVT systems, the first one will be known by all party members, the second one by a few individuals and the last one will only be known by myself,” he explained.
The UPND leader said that 2016 elections will not be easy and told party members that there was there is still time for people to obtain national registration cards and register as voters.
“We have a big task ahead of us, a very big assignment which awaits us in 2016 and it calls for every well-meaning party member to get involved and ensure that we deliver a sound victory,” Mr. Hichilema has said.
He said Zambia was going through many challenges due to the mismanagement of national affairs by the current leadership, adding that Zambians should not allow the PF to win next year’s elections.
“We have to take this seriously; next year is not a year to joke with. We all need to put our efforts together and ensure that we remove the PF from power. And this can only be done when we all get involved,” Mr Hichilema said.
He said despite the political landscape in the country changing, party members should be vigilant ahead of next year’s elections.
Mr Hichilema also took a swipe at party members aspiring as parliamentarians and civic leaders.
He said the party has been betrayed in the past by a few individuals who were adopted on a pretext that they were loyal and committed members.
“There are three things that we will be looking at, at whoever wants to be adopted. Firstly, a candidate should be resourceful, secondly the quality of a candidate and lastly their loyalty to the party; if we suspect that you are going to betray us the way Dawson Kafwaya (North-Western Province Minister and UPND Solwezi Central member of Parliament) did we will not adopt you,’’ he said.
It beats me. How can a PVT be known only by once person. This is total madness and sign of dictatorship. I have just made my conclusion now. The other check should be we make sure that no under age people vote in Southern Province.

The first two PVT will report that HH has lost the elections since they wont include online votes from online bloggers, but the third one , the one to be used by one and only HH, and the one to include votes from online bloggers will report that HH has won by a whooping landslide victory of 85 %. Basically it will be MUVI TV elections polls reloaded and exclusively delivered to the one and only Saviour and sustainer of the mighty UPND 5 Party.

The three PVT HH was talking about is about the 3 methods that will be used to detect voter rigging. The scheme will use 3 methods to capture the total votes to avoid ECZ cooking up figures like it did in 2015 when it saw that UPND was headed for victory.

PVT is indeed very good for the citizenry and party loyalists to be well informed and assured that who ever wins,wins “clean and square”.It is good to guard one’s votes but running three systems controlled at different levels within one party may just cause confusion within UPND ranks and the nation may end getting contradictory figures from the same camp which may water down the legitimacy of their PVT. What people will not accept are claims of rigging or winning without sufficient proof verified by all parties concerned. Not very sure what the new constitution says about the time to swear in a winner. We hope there is a window to dispose of possible petitions to allow the winner to rule without people crying rigging all time without proof!

Hahahahahahahahaha come on HH tell us something very sensible. PVT 2 and 3 is recipe for some claim that the elections have been rigged should things turn out negatively for you. It all seems you are preparing for some imminent loss and make wild claims that you have been dribbled. Why in the entire world would one do PVT all alone in his bedroom under candlelight assuming there will be a complete blackout that time due to load shedding.
Who is HH and who really knows what he believes? That’s the problem HH will have once again in 2016. In 2015, he ran as a “reformer” in his primary thinking the presidential elections were going to be his. He lost to Chagwa who ran clearly around HH. How will he appease urban voters in 2016 and how will it hurt his tribal positioning? Can he tiptoe around Bemba’s are thieves and the economic mess he would inherit should he win? He likes to leave much up to the imagination when it comes to his philosophy. This can be a problem when it enables others like Kambwili, Mumbi Phiri, Tayali and Fr ‘Red card’ Bwalya to define him better than he defines himself. He may also mistakenly think that he can win by running away from his past bitter remarks he has made about Zambia, but Lungu did not win…
