Zambia have a potential quarter-final date against arch-rivals Zimbabwe at 2016 Cosafa Castle Cup in Namibia in June.

Chipolopolo, who enjoy a preliminary round bye, await winners from Group A in the June 19 quarter-finals.

The battle to face Zambia in the last eight will be contested for by Zimbabwe, Seychelles, Madagascar and Swaziland.

Last year, Zambia and Zimbabwe had a forgettable 2015 outing after a disastrous Cosafa Cup for both record four-time winners.

Zimbabwe was eliminated at the group stage while Zambia were dumped out in their first game in the quarterfinals by eventual winners Namibia.

This after Namibia had earlier ejected Zimbabwe 4-1 in a Group A match en route to a fairy tale finish in South Africa,

Zambia finished 6th at the 2015 tournament after losing 1-0 to Malawi in the Plate final during the regime of Honour Janza.
