The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation-ZNBC will on Wednesday, this week hold a stakeholders meeting with leaders of political parties.

ZNBC Corporate Affair Manager Masuzyo Ndhlovu says the meeting will be held at Mass Media Complex at 09:00 hours.

Mr Ndhlovu said the corporation has sent invitation letters for the meeting to Chief Executive Officers of Political parties.

He says the meeting will provide a platform for ZNBC to roll out programmes that have been lined-up before the 2016 General Elections.

Mr Ndhlovu says the stakeholders ‘ meeting with political parties will further discuss other matters of Radio and Television Programmes.

And ZNBC has apologised to Patriotic Front-PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri and her family for airing her recorded Sunday Interview whilst she had a bereavement.

ZNBC Corporate Affairs Manager Masuzyo Ndhlovu says the Public Broadcaster apologises for any inconvenience the development might have caused to Ms Phiri and her family.

Mr Ndhlovu says the Sunday Interview where Ms. Phiri appeared yesterday was recorded two weeks ago and would have been aired a week ago, had circumstances allowed.

  1. Meetings are held between and among equals. Even with its exaggerated status, ZNBC is not equal to political parties and cannot, therefore, invite political parties to meetings. Unless something had gone awry sometime ago.

    • Let the meeting conclude that all parties will be adequately covered and are free to post their adverts and have them aired by ZNBC. Equal time allocation for campaign programming and that parties cited by another party should be given the benefit of responding within 24 hours using the same forum. @ Poter Bankambo you tell it like it is and its only courtesy by the political parties that they respond positively to ZNBC misguided invitation (i.e. ZNBC is a servant of the citizenry as well as political parties).

  2. U are forgiven. U didn’t know but is it so much of a big deal? I think people can understand and know that the interview on tv could have been done before the funeral as she wouldn’t do it during her bereavement.

    • a woman who says she doesn’t like pot bellied men because she doesn’t want to bend down to see things and a woman who says she vomits every time she hears the name HH needs no apology for broadcasting her interview while she is mourning

  3. What has changed? ZNBC is a branch of PF Government, what do they want to tell the opposition who they treat as if they are aliens?

  4. I’m rying to understand what the apology is for. Just goes to show how much ZNBC is a branch of PF. Masuzyo was even shaking while issuing the apology.

  5. Donor pressure! Those pounds and dollars ECZ got from USA & UK – the donors want to see fairness so Chegwera is doing cover up!! Whatever you do bane – kuya bebele!!

  6. Hold meetings with the stakeholders and go for fair coverage otherwise you will lose out on those donor funds. Business acumen is what the managers at ZNBC lack. Lots of money out their during this election period from both PF and the opposition.

  7. It appears DeadNBC is a PF branch. Foolish Masuzyo was shaking wen offering an apology with watery red eyes. The broadcaster has become irrelevant. You will hardly see opposition members given space in their Sunday interviews. Masuzyo coming from Chipata, has shown his tribal tag to Lungu as opposed to fair coverage. No need to wax comb donors by inviting mistreated pipo for further humiliation.

  8. If t you know your job as public broadcaster as you claim to be, why meet political parties, why not just do your job in a fair and equal coverage of the news and campaign messages? To tell you the truth, we are tired of your rubbish of PF irritating vomits called news.

  9. If you know your job as public broadcaster as you claim to be, why meet political parties, why not just do your job in a fair manner and cover the news and campaign messages for all parties without any bias?
To tell you the truth, we are tired of your rubbish of PF irritating vomits called news.

  10. DeadNBC can F-UCK their A-sses, we don’t need them. Political-Fools are out of game. As can be seen, it’s just lungu, wife and daughter making headlines. Giving stupid handouts using tax payers money… We will send them ku mukobeko prison.
