UPND Lusaka Province Women’s Chairperson Rosah Zulu says the PF top leadership continues to pay lip service to the issues of violence as opposed to decisively acting to stop the scourge.

On one hand, the top leadership has been merely condemning the vice whilst on the other hand they have been surreptitiously funding and perpetrating this act of barbarism with impunity.
“Even with the instruments of power at their disposal, the PF have failed to decisively and pragmatically deal with the political violence for which they are responsible.
“Reason, it is because they are labouring under the delusion that if they intimidate Zambians and the country degenerates into chaos, they will easily win the 2016 general elections,” she said.
She said the PF should drew lessons from the MMD who lost power because of political violence among other things.
“We thought they should with the benefit of hindsight draw lessons from the 2011 tripartite polls and prior actions of the Rupiah Banda regime.
“Our party sympathizers are being victimized, brutalized and attacked in markets, compounds and other public places once they are identified as our supporters and no arrests are made even after reporting,” she said.
She added “In some instances, those whose rights are violated against or the victims are the ones who are unlawfully detained. A case in point is matero bar lady by the name of Namkale Nawamez who was recently brutalized by PF thugs for supporting the UPND and one of the suspects is councilor Ciyo who went scot-free.”

They only stop violence if it is foreigners being attacked. UPND cadres have to die.
