The ruling PF has warned opposition UPND to stop intimidating their members campaigning in Southern Province.
PF Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya said if UPND continue stopping members of the ruling party from campaigning in their strong hold, the opposition party will also be barred from other parts of the country.
Mr Bwalya also expressed concern on the threats by UPND running mate Geoffrey Mwamba that he will arrest Edger Lungu and Richard Sakala when his party forms government.
He said such kind of vindictiveness should not be allowed in the country saying the UPND might take away the power of the police and will use the police to oppress people.
He further advised the UPND to report Edgar Lungu and all those they feel are doing wrong to the police so that they do their part.
Meanwhile Mr Bwalya has denied claims that President Lungu was sick saying “I met President Lungu at State House and found him well.”
He also warned three chiefs from taking an active role in politics.
Mr Bwalya who refused to name three chiefs said these chiefs are campaigning for the opposition leader from the region they came from.
He said the chiefs are going round campaigning and are meeting other chiefs adding that the traditional leaders have been heavily funded.
ECL needs to explain lots of things, murders, theft, ECZ, supreme court jungle, it is a laundry list, if he is found wanting GBM should cage him. Someone needs to learn a lesson, we need a peaceful country, this Bwalya chap does not see what we see. I can tell Bwalya, lots and lots are going to jail in August. Zambians have suffered enough.
