LUNDAZI Central independent aspiring candidate Evans Ngoma has withdrawn of his resignation which he wrote to Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Davies Chama informing him and the entire ruling party that he had resigned.

Mr Ngoma said in a letter obtained by Times Office in Chipata yesterday which he addressed to Mr Chama and copied to Elections Chairperson Jean Kapata, Eastern Province Chairperson Andrew Lubusha, Lundazi District leadership and Lundazi Central Constituency that he further apologised for having brought the name of the party into disrepute.

“I wish to withdraw my resignation letter dated 28/05/2016 from the Patriotic Front (PF).I wish to further tender my apology for having brought the name of the party into disrepute and feel I should be considered as a prodigal son,” he said.

Mr Ngoma said it was not intentional but rather pressure on the ground that influenced his decision.

He assured his dedication to the party during the campaigns and hoped that his apology would be taken in the spirit of brotherhood for the betterment of the voters in Lundazi.

“I trust the above in order and thanking you in advance for your wise decision,” he said.

Mr Ngoma also said his blood was PF adding that he would vigorously campaign for President Edgar Lungu and the party in general in order to win the elections.

He said his standing as an independent candidate had given United Party for National Development (UPND) headache because PF was not fielding any person.

He said it was no longer a walkover for UPND members who had celebrated that PF candidate Dr John Phiri had failed to file in his nomination papers.

Mr Ngoma also said once elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Lundazi Central on August 11th he is going to lobby for the upgrading to bituminous standard on the 78 kilometre stretch of Mwase-Kapichila-Lusuntha road.

He said the road was an important component to economic developments of Lundazi District.

“I know better roads network are important to the development of any district. I am going to ask the Government to upgrade the Mwase-Kapichila-Lusuntha into bituminous standard,” he said.

He said other priority areas for Lundazi Central were to focus on the drilling of boreholes as well as construction of more dams in the area.

He said he is going to ensure that more health posts and classroom block were constructed during his tenure in office as a lawmaker.

Mr Ngoma said he is going to ensure that some schools were upgraded including carrying out mass rehabilitation of the damaged schools.

  1. The UPND has placed moles in the PF to gather valuable information for strategic purposes. This is a good formula that will yield great results at the right time. Brian Haapunda is a UPND spy in the PF and so is Shakafuswa. UPND also have planted informers that will blow the whistle whenever Rigging shaninigans are suspected deep inside ECZ. This is some good stuff guys.

    • We have also placed that bazooka GBM, ka (Joel) Mulenga and Charlotte to spy for us. In fact, when we’re done beating you, you can keep them. LOL!!!!!

      Thanks

  6. Not too late and you are welcome after realising that President Lungu and PF is sweeping these elections clean and with over 65%.
Good move and get on the ground with mobilisation. Remember all PF support members need to turn up in large numbers on 11 August and vote for President Lungu and YES for the referendum. They did it i 2015, now its our time to show them who is who.
Viva ECL viva PF big time.

  7. What will happen if Dr Phiri who has appealed to the constitutional court wins? Where will Mr Ngoma stand? this was a very poor strategy indeed.

  8. Only beneficiaries of corruption can support the corrupt and inept PF regime; these wild prefictions of a pf win by 65% is pure nonsense–you are a f00l if you believe such–these are the last gasps of ticks and parasites eager to continue looting our resources.

  9. Viva PF Viva ECL ! The votes will all be yours.GBV and Haleisa halelila can not be trusted……only morons and their fellow masonists will vote for them…COOL !
