Ex-Mufulira Wanderers and Nchanga Rangers defender Justin Kunda has died aged 42.

Kunda died on Sunday morning at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka after an illness.

He died as Nchanga youth team coach.

“Our youth coach died yesterday at UTH in Lusaka where he was referred two weeks ago. He had been sick for close to two months,” Nchanga secretary Jim Chongo said.

Funeral is at the deceased residence in Chingola’s Nchanga North area.

Burial is set to take place on Wednesday at Chingola Central Cemetery.

Kunda was part of the Wanderers squad that won the Super Division title back to back in 1995 and 1996.

He later joined Nchanga as a player before he was made assistant coach after retiring from playing.
