A tradition leader says President Edgar Lungu and his party, the Patriotic Front, have done nothing to improve lives of Zambians especially in rural areas.
Sub Chief Kafola of the Chishinga people in Chibote area of Kawambwa district in Luapula Province says there is nothing that President Lungu can and should be boasting about as almost all the projects being undertaken today were late President Michael Sata’s initiatives.
Speaking at his house at Chibote Mission, the traditional leader complained of not having a fixed, permanent and official residence as he has been relocated several times.
The Sub Chief with 68 village headmen and women further asked politicians to look at the plight of traditional leaders and those citizens in rural areas.
Sub Chief Kafola said this when opposition United Party of National Development (UPND) Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba paid a courtesy call on him on Monday afternoon as he (Mr. Mwamba) was on a campaign tour of the province.
And addressing a crowd that gathered at Chibote Mission, Mr. Mwamba or GBM as commonly known asked people to reject the ruling PF come 11 August 2016 for failure to provide basic needs to the people.
Mr. Mwamba who is UPND Presidential Running Mate under the 2016 amended Constitution said evidence of the PF’s fiasco can be seen in all parts of the country a thing he describes as unfortunate.
The opposition leader is in Luapula Province in his nation-wide campaign trail ahead of the 2016 August General Election.
What is wrong with finishing Sata’s projects?

Manifestos describes policy and AIMs the party will do in a specific period. therefore, there is nothing wrong for ECL to finish off MCS’s projects. infact they are PF’S projects. I believe the chief is not Form 5 just like the one he was talking to.
The chief is very excused based on the fact that he lacks understanding of how government works.
Every government or party or leader, when they are in power they are paid to make a contribution to the development plan of the nation.
Whatever contribution made becomes part and parcel of the National Development Plan.
This is why PF under Sata did not through away the MMD Development plan because it become part of the national development plan. Similarly, Lungu cannot divert from those plans – after all he made contribution as they were together with Sata.
Remember that politicians give a policy direction, and technocrats and experts advice and formulate and contextualize them into National plans.
