FORMER president Rupiah Banda has urged the people of Katete to vote for President Edgar Lungu in the next week’s polls.
The President said when he greeted people at Mkaika in Katete yesterday that they should turn in large numbers to vote for President Lungu in the elections.
Mr Banda who was accompanied by MMD leader Felix Mutati that people should do what they did last year to vote for Mr Lungu.
“Please do not forget to vote for Mr (Edgar) Lungu in the elections.Please vote for Mr Lungu,”he said.
And President Lungu paid a courtesy call on Paramount Chief Kalonga Gawa Undi of the Chewa people at his palace in Katete.
The President who arrived in the company of First Lady Esther Lungu and his campaign manager Samuel Mukupa.
Meanwhile, President Edgar Lungu has concluded his campaign trail in Eastern Province.
And President Lungu says he is confident of scooping next weeks elections because he is the best Presidential candidate.
The President says he has already outsmart the other eight candidates because of his working track record and people’s acceptance.
President Lungu says the massive reception from the people of eastern province during his campaigns solidifies his pending victory.
The President however urged PF supporters countywide to go in numbers to vote for him and all PF candidates.
President has also disowned independent candidates purporting to have his blessings

While I come across explicitly tribal remarks and encouragements of division among ourselves like the above two comments, People should not aline themselves like that. It is better to bring out the good that a presidential candidate is able to deliver for the country, not just urging people to vote in tribal lines. Mind you I have read most comments on LT I have never come across a southerner, not even one pretending to be southerner, urging southerners to vote in tribal lines. I have not even come across a statement where HH for example brags about his riches. Actually the only way I have come to know that HH is rich through people who claim that he is rich and therefore is pompous because of it. Was nega nega voting formula tribal???? If it was then its very regrettable and those who applauded and benefited from it, must never expect Zambians to honor them with their votes. On the other note, if it not tribal which i pray so, then what is wrong to use the same template across Zambian constituencies?
Now we know why Lungu and PF are so confident of winning this election. Their winning trump card is Rigging at all levels of the electoral processes. In their perceived strongholds they will use premarked ballots, ballot stuffing and switching. Already three trucks loaded with premarked ballots have been detained in Mkushi by UPND supporters. In HH strongholds we can expect voters to have been disenfranchised the inept ECZ.Zambians should remain alert and vigilant to make sure our vote is not stolen by Lungu and his Election Riggers thru a compromised ECZ and Concourt. Violent, visionless and clueless Chakolwa Lungu must go. Forward with HH and UPND.

My Opinion is that HH is a living chide of the corrupt, who has achieved more mileage financially that has been possible by other politicians perceived to be corrupt through corrupt means. There are a lot of rich people in Zambia today, some richer than HH but we don’t talk about them but the day they shall rise to want to work for and contribute to Zambia will be the day stories will be created about them. It happened to Professor Clive Chirwa and that man has been quietened yet he could have made significant contribution, or atleast he should have been given a chance to prove his perceived theories, 5 Years is not a long time.
The adage of birds of same feathers flock together. RB and ECL, the two shortest serving Zambian presidents. 3 year tenure and 1 year 6 months tenure respectively. Well done both, we are grateful that you served the nation.We will always respect and admire you, God bless

Why would I vote for Lungu? Lungu has a criminal record, he has run down our economy, he has no Vision, he is drunkard, he is violent, he is selfish, he does not respect the Rule of Law and Court Orders etc. Lungu is the worst President Zambia has ever had. Rupia Banda should bring the money for the Nigeria oil deal( 2.5 million dollars ) we have not forgotten. Chagwa acquitted him dubiously. The immunity will once again be struck off from him.
