Mupopo fails to qualify for 400 meters finals

Team Zambia’s run at the 2016 Rio Olympics waned further when Kabange Mupopo failed to qualify for the womens 400 meters final and out of the Brazil tournament.

Mupopo finished 7th in Sunday’s semifinals with a time of 52.04.

She finished three second behind the qualifying threshold set by Shaunae Muller of Bahamas who finished second Allyson Felix of the USA who both qualified to the finals.

Team Zambia now have one athlete still in the Olympics with Jordan Chipangama taking to the track on the final day of the Olympics on August 21 in the Marathon.
