Former President Rupiah Banda has congratulated President Edgar Lungu for emerging victorious in the August 11 general election.

Mr. Banda says President Lungu’s victory is a confirmation of the confidence that Zambians have in his leadership.

He has further praised opposition political parties that took part in the election for conceding defeat.

Mr. Banda said this in a congratulatory letter addressed to President Lungu made available to ZNBC News.

Meanwhile Mr. Banda has praised Zambians for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during the entire election period.

And newly elected Kabushi Constituency Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo has congratulated President Edgar Lungu on his re-election.

Mr. Lusambo says the people of Zambia turned up in large numbers to vote for President Lungu because of his track record of hard work and resolve to improve the living standards of the people.

Meanwhile the Kabushi lawmaker has pledged to work hard and deliver development to the people of his constituency.

Mr. Lusambo says he will closely work together with his 8 councillors to provide clean safe drinking water and descent sanitation facilities for his constituents.

    • We have taught the so called “Intellectuals” and “Rich kids” a lesson that we the Kaponyas and Poor kids are in numbers and we don’t need their intelligent and rich leaders to lead us.. We prefer a person with a humble background to lead us.Kateka ni Lungu.. Go hug a ZESCO transformer if you are too touched.. want a fellow poor man.. Kaili we are used to suffering according to them.. So what is their problem if we continue to suffer? Did we die from last year? We shall survive even if we eat grass and they eat Nshima with beef and chicken as their vegetable.. Am just shocked with the kind of mediocrity exhibited byThe Rich Kids and Intellectuals.. They want to insult us and feel pity for us as if we have asked for their sympathy.. They should take a sit or a chill pill!

    • Thanks abambo for congratulating a man of the people H.E President ECL on a sweet victory by and for all people of Zambia! You saw it a few weeks ago at the Wellsfargo Center in PA how mature people do it courtesy of Ben Sanders. Our bad losers don’t get it here in Zambia! Now you and us the patriots, lets get to work in helping No. 1 unite Zambia. Please remember Olila samasankha malilidwe.

    • WHAT A SHAME, RB SHOULD DIE, HE IS AN EVIL MAN WHO HAS NO SHAME. HE IS CURSED AND HIS DAY WILL COME. YOU AND LUNGU HAVE STOLEN THE ELECTION YET YOU WILL DO NOTHING FOR POOR ZAMBIANS.

  1. It looks many bloggers are still sleeping or they are celebrating the Victory of Lungu. I also former President of Malawi I have sent the congratulatory message but I am not yet mentioned. Anyway I am sending it through this platform “I CONGRATULATE PRESIDENT LUNGU FOR THE VICTORY IN A PEACEFUL AND FAIR ELECTIONS. I ALSO THANK THE OPPOSITION PARTIES FOR ACCEPTING DEFEAT DURING THIS PARAGMANIOUS ELECTIONS”

  2. No amount of congratulatory messages will erase the fraud that the ECZ, Chulu, Priscilla and PF have committed in this election! As the fraud is being revealed, it is very embarrassing and shameful!

  3. Of course the alcoholic has to thank his father Banda, the crook. Now he should go and than Mugabe and Museveni as well. Zambians will remain backward under this illiterate alcoholic.

  4. The biggest problem with upnd/ Tsongas is they think they are the best and Zambia. This will cost them presidency, please learn to take responsibility and accountability.

    • @pio, so to you all those bembas, Lozis, Namwangas, kaonde’s, etc who who voted for HH are Tonga? Pio are the reason why Africans are being said to be mentally retarded with an average IQ of 70.

  5. RB – Why this man has been allowed to ride Zambian politics roughshod, is preposterous. He was ‘dead and buried’ on his farm but was allowed to ‘resurrect’ and cause havoc as a Zombie. He has been in the forefront of the divisive ‘wako ni wako’ primitive philosophy and rigging mantle. The man has had Lungu on the strings as his puppet. He has been paid off his Presidential remuneration in spite of being active in politics. The man exudes dangerous desperate patronage alliances that belong to the stone age – but which he has managed to inculcate hook, line and sinker into the PF. Watch the space, Zambia is doomed in all areas of human endeavour (free expression, economy and social virtues) Those who voted for Lungu have made their bed and should be ready to sleep on the thorns.

    • # 8, Keep your cultural bitterness and tribal rants to yourselves. We ignore you because our understanding is that you chaps are mourning for that fact, olila pamalilo samasakha malilidwe.

    • @ Muntu you are very right: Those who voted for Lungu have made their bed and should be ready to sleep on the thorns. Watch the space.

  8. @the guy saying we kaponyas are in large number…as the saying goes do not underestimate the power of idots in a group … you better leave coz they will pull you to there level

  9. Bowman Lusambo and Mbulakulima strategically hijacked the PF adoption process fiasco and benefited. Now they are on the payroll.
