THE Patriotic Front (PF) youth leadership in Southern province has called on youths in the Province to unite and avoid political violence.
This follows the recent decision by the Constitutional Court to dismiss the election petition of President Edgar Lungu by United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema and his running mate Geoffrey Mwamba.
PF Provincial vice chairperson Obby Mweemba said time had come for the province to heal from the election fatigue and concentrate on uniting the country.
Mr Mweemba said youths in the province had an opportunity of putting aside their political differences aside and promote the spirit of coexistence and unity in diversity.
He said in an interview in Livingstone that the ruling party in Southern province will embrace any youths from the opposition who are willing to work with the ruling party as echoed by President Edgar Lungu.
“As youths in Southern province, we are more than delighted that the petition is over and that the courts have done what was expected of them. The youths in Zambia need to come together and unite the country regardless of their political affiliation, “Mr Mweemba said.
He called on PF youths in the province to show love to their colleagues in the opposition by coming up with collaborative initiatives that would promote the spirit of oneness.
“PF youths should not intimidate youths from the opposition by way of mocking them or despising but should show them love just like our republican President Edgar Lungu is geared to heal the nation.
“It is now time for the youths in the ruling party to get back to work because we have been given anther another five year mandate by the Zambian people and we need to work hard in order to improve the welfare the of the Zambian people more especially the youths and the women,” he said.
Mr Mweemba however warned that the PF youth leadership in Southern province would not entertain any form of lawlessness or acts of violence in the province.
“Youths should not be used as tools of violence by some selfish politicians who are bent on dividing the nation.
“We want to bring everyone on board so that we also fight the perpetrators of violence in the province and we shall not allow youths from any political party to instil fear or incite violence in the province,” he said.

Southern province is a very loving and peaceful place, just tell Edgar to tame his ignominies pundit cadres. The same PF yapping about peace is the one which propagates confusion and violence in the night at being wolves in the sheepskin.
It is PF who are causing all the violence and hate-mongering. Unity will return to Zambia when PF stop their evil ways.

Good initiative but it must be done by all Zambians condemning tribalism. We are all tribal in one one or the other , its is just the degree of practice that differentiate us. Tribalism and hate mongering are being promoted by PF who cannot believe that some Zambians are tired of their kleptocracy and incompetence. PF should stop their evil ways.

PF till UPND is gone out of existence and we won’t think about it like NADA. With or without voters in southern province we shall always win.
