Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba is expected in Gaborone ,Botswana tomorrow to attend the 50th Independence celebrations of that country.
Mr Kalaba will represent the President of the Republic of Zambia His Excellency Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu during the celebrations which will take place on Friday 30th September in the Capital city Gaborone.
Zambia and Botswana are neighboring countries that have shared strong bilateral relations over the years. Recently, President of the Republic of Botswana H.E Lieutenant Gen. Dr. Seretse Khama was among Heads of State who attended the inauguration of President Lungu as 6th President of the Republic of Zambia.
Honorable Kalaba and his entourage are expected back home on Saturday.
Now you know the importance of delegations. For the first time you have decided to be in the state house working.I only hope it has nothing to do with endless planning and changes
H.E Lungu will be opening Parliament. Thats why he will not attend in person. Also the vice president who is leader of government business will be attending the official opening of parliament. I think H.E. Lungu will honour Botswana with an official visit at an opportune time.
good move
Did you see how pensive Nkama was at the inauguration ceremony? I thought I was the only one who saw it.
It is big Bob who made him uncomfortable. I saw it too. Especially when Big Bob started talking about Sir Seretse Khama and directly talking to Lt. Gen. Ian Khama and referred to the late founder as your father. Of course it was his father, but Bob did not mention the president in his own right and ment to belittle the president of Botswana.
