Outspoken Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali has announced the formation of a new political party to be called Movement for Economic Development and Equity (MEDE).
Mr Tayali said he will unveil the proposed manifesto and constitution of the party before having it registered.
He said the party will aim at contesting all by-elections that may come before 2021 when the PF will hand over power to MEDE.
Mr Tayali revealed that he has been reflecting on the party’s manifesto for some time after he became frustrated by appointments that President Edgar Lungu has been making.
He said he expects to officially launch on 28th October 2016.

On a serious note, he failed to fund his ka crazy publication and has on several occasions admitted to being given money by various politicians, how we he fund his party given that most of the people he has previously received money from will now be his rivals?
I had some respect for Tayali but no more. The man just yesterday was singing praises for Lungu and anticipating to be appointed into the PF government; and when that appointment seemed a pipe dream the man is so bitter and now talks of a political movement. Joke of the day! Mune tayali ask the likes of Fr. Bwalya, Dr. Xaviour Chishimba, kavindele, Kabimba, Dr. Guy Scott, Dr. Ludwig Sondashi, Dr. Akashambatwa Mbikusita, Sekwiba Sikota, Charles milupi and the list goes on and on, they will confess to you that forming a political party is one thing while winning the hearts of the masses is also another.
