Thousands of people today gathered at the Woodlands Forest in Lusaka to observe the 2016 National Day of Prayer, Fasting, Repentance and Reconciliation.

And President Edgar Lungu said the proposed creation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and National Guidance is part of government’s efforts to champion the Christian values in society.

  1. lungu is a lost man. One doesnt need to create a ministry and cost us millions just to champion his personal christianity value. You lack any integrity. It seems the sinners are the ones that hide behind religion to cover up their crooked deeds.

  2. Some one must correct this phrase “Zambia is a Christian nation” to “Zambia is a Christian nation which accommodates other religions”. Can you imagine how many people of different religions feel sidelined when one says that Zambia is a Christian nation?

Again, on the building of House of Prayer…. Bishop Banda, I feel this Bishop is now blinded by the millions he’s been seeing at state house, clearly he would have used 1 Chronicles 28:3 to advise Lungu

  3. MOCKING GOD INDEED. YOU KNOW VERY WELL THE EVIL YOU DO UNDER THE COVER OF THE DARK. YOU HAVE STOLEN SOMEONE’S POWER. YOU HAVE INCACERATED MANY OF OUR PEOPLE FOR THE IDEOLOGY THEY BELIEVE IN, THAT OF HAVING A FREE AND LOVING ZAMBIA. WHAT RECONCILIATION? YOU CONTINUE TO DEMONIZE THE TONGAS, YET YOU STILL SING YOUR LIP-SERVICE OF RECONCILIATION. LET’S JUST WAIT FOR THE LORD TO JUDGE ZAMBIA. ENOUGH OF THE LIES AND HYPOCRISY.

  4. Gullibility and credulity are considered are considered undesirable qualities in every aspect of human life- except religion!

  5. POWER WILL NEVER TAKE LUNGU ANYWHERE. HE IS ALREADY FAILING TO SOLVE PROBLEMS IN THE COUNTRY. POWER DID NOT TAKE CHILUBA AND SATA ANYWHERE but six foot under

  6. Zambia will still remain a christian nation as long as the generation which wants to serve God are still not dead- May God almighty continue to bless Zambia. Long leave Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

  7. Luke 15:7 NIV
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
    9. Luke 18:9-14 Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else:“Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income. “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed…

  8. I am humbled, for havin a declaration of zambia as a christian nation coming to fullfillment, this reminds me of king solomon buildin a temple of God in Jerusalem n God dewlled in it.God has used our president to do this, may God be honoured.

  9. Comment: LONG LIVE HIS EXCELLENCY, MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND GUIDE YOU IN ALL YOUR GOOD WAYS AND JUDGE YOU ACCORDING TO YOUR WORKS.
