Zambia goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene got some competitive action for African champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Thursday.

The Zambia number one was in goals for sundowns in their 2-0 home win over Polokwane City in the last 16 of the Telkom Cup in Pretoria.

The match was Sundowns first match back home just a day after returning from Egypt where they were crowned 2016 CAF Champions League winners after a 3-1 aggregate win over Zamalek.

This was Mweene’s second competitive game this season after featuring in a 0-0 away league draw at Maritzburg United on September 14.

    • Hahahahahahaha……….I was just thinking also. What is he there to do if not play football? Should it be a headline if he does what he there to do?

    • Kalyabune: There is alot of money at Sundowns and I am sure Mweene gets a very healthy salary. My suspicion is that there are very limited clubs that can afford his salary. Its just my thought. But on the other hand Pitso does not want Mweene to leave Sundowns again. So Mweene is in a catch 52 scenario i should guess.
