Patson Daka and Kelvin Mubanda fired braces on Saturday at Arthur Davies Stadium to end Power Dynamos month-long winless run.

Power beat Nakambala Leopards 5-1 at home in Kitwe to pick up their first league win since September 10 when they defeated Green Buffaloes 4-1 at the same venue.

Mubanga put Power ahead from the penalty spot in the 2nd minute before Keegan Bwalya equalized for Nakambala in the 11th minute.

Power then went 3-1 into the break thanks to two great goals in the 13th and 36th minutes from Daka.

Jimmy Ndhlovu made in 4-0 in the 79th minute before Mubanga completed his brace in stoppage time.

Power stay third on 56 points, four behind second placed Nkana.

Nakambala are hovering above the relegation zone in in 10th place on 34 points exactly week after losing in Kitwe again when they lost 6-1 away to Nkana.

  1. I’m a Power dynamo supporter but with all the support from the sponsors, we are comfortable fighting for 3rd place. Its a shame! There is no team in the league that is well sponsored as my team and as such should reflect in our performance.

  2. Power end drought with sweet win!
