DANTE Saunders should stop masquerading as a political activist and come out in the open to declare his political interest because he has now proved to be a UPND cadre who thinks he can be relevant on the political arena by using his disguised position to discredit those in power, PF youths on the Copperbelt have said.

Commenting on a statement attributed to Mr. Saunders as having incited the UPND never to recognize President Edgar Lungu as elected republican president, provincial youth chairperson Nathan Chanda said time for Mr. Saunders and the entire UPND to wake up from slumber and come to terms with reality that President Lungu was an elected republican President was now and that living in denial would not change the state of affairs.

Mr. Chanda noted with disbelief that instead of remaining wholly uncorrupted and steadfast to his call as an activist who previously offered credible checks and balances to political players by holding them accountable for their shortcomings, Mr. Saunders had taken a partisan stance while holding on to a disguised position.

He said Mr. Saunders’ decision to align himself to the UPND and promote criminality by discrediting a democratically elected leader did not befit an individual of good standing in society and advised him to join politics because that was his constitutional right instead of playing double standards.

He said time for politicking was long gone and that what Zambians were looking for were patriotic statesmen who were ready to provide solutions to challenges the country was going through and not petty-minded individuals who were dividing the country further with the hope of propagating their political fortunes.

    • Isn’t he the one together with UPND cadres who took hostage the ECZ truck carrying lanterns and chairs from Chirundu to Lusaka in 2015 presidential by-elections?

    • What about our pukuta mwanza, Joshua banda, bishopo ndlovu, that’s why chimbwili called you kakunkubiti, shut up.

  1. Dante get a life, at your age, i will be an adviser not an active player in politics. Look at the like of Sikota Wina, Gray Zulu, Simon Zukas etc they simply give advice.
    Shame on you Dante!

    • “Democrete”, or more likely than not “uneducated 1mbecile”, what is wrong in Mr. Dante exercising his Constitutional DEMOCRATIC (learn spelling you uneducated 1mbecile) rights and supporting party of his choice?

  2. Nathan Chanda u are lost and mistaken. If Dante Saunders’s views on the Disputed 2016 Election Results and the Presidential Petition coincide with those in UPND what is wrong with it? Nathan u are living in Cuckoo’s land if u think that the Petition is a dead issue. The Petition is very much alive and in the coming days u will see what will happen. Irrespective of what the High Court does on March 14 and 15, 2017, the Petitioners have reached a six months threshold to take their Petition to ICJ where they can receive Justice. The Petitioners have a very strong case and the chances are that they will win the case at ICJ hands down and Lungu will lose. Nathan this is about law and not Cadreism.Lungu is an illegitimate President becoz he was not democratically, legally and Constitutionally…

    • ….and if icj throws out your stupid petition you will come back discrediting them and saying all sorts of unprintables. You will be in the forefront calling for Zambia to withdraw even from icc.

    • WE ZAMBIANS HATE TO HEAR THE TRUTH. THE TRUTH BEING THE PETITION MUST BE HEARD SO THAT THE COUNTRY IS NOT DIVIDED. WHEN THIS MATTER IS HEARD THEN ALL WILL BE AT REST. WE WANT TO HEAR IT FOR OURSELVES NOT A FEW PEOPLE FORCING OTHERS TO ACCEPT WHEN OUR MINDS ARE NOT SATISFIED. WHETHER H H WINS OR LOSES WE WANT TO HEAR WHAT TRANSPIRED AND QUESTIONS ANSWERED ON BALLOTS BEING FOUND IN ODD PLACES AND A FOREIGNER BEING FOUND IN THE I T ROOM AND THE LONG WAIT FOR RESULTS. WE DEMAND TO KNOW.

  3. The UPND Petition was “dismissed” on a 14 day technicality which is illegal at Law. To make matters worse 14 days in terms of the law is 14 working days ending 8th Sept 2016. Concourt has no powers to dismiss the Petition without hearing and determining it. Court was supposed to declare a Winner but they failed to do so. Concourt also forgot that the old Bill of Rights still exist and the High Court administers it and that Petitioners have Rights to be heard in Court. Legally the Petitioners have a very strong case and would win at ICJ without a doubt. The fact that Lungu refused to handover the Presidency to the Speaker of Parliament during the Petition Hearing process disqualifies Lungu from the contest.
