Police in Kafue District in Lusaka province have recovered stolen house hold goods and a police uniform in the area.
Kafue Acting District Commissioner (DC) , Joseph Kamana confirmed in an interview today that the recovered goods likely stolen from Kafue town and Shikoswe compound respectively were recovered during an operation , today.
Mr . Kamana said in the operation two suspects were arrested while two others are on the run.
The Acting DC said three of the suspects arrested are ex-convicts adding that a manhunt for the fugitives has since been launched.
Among the recovered goods included laptops, mattresses ,Television decoder, hair driers among others.
In addition the Acting DC said the police has since launched a manhunt for the other two suspected criminals still on the run.
He has appealed to Kafue residents to report any suspicious characters to the police to help reduce crime in the area.
Mr Kaman also said his office will support the formation of neighborhood watch associations to help curb the rising crime in the district.
Meanwhile, the Acting DC has appealed to the police command to allocate more vehicles to the district to enable the officers effectively patrol the area.
