Enugu Rangers are travelling to Zambia minus coach Imama Amapakabo.
Media reports from Nigeria suggest Imama has been fired following Sunday’s 2-2 home draw with Zesco in a 2017 CAF Confederation Cup pre-group stage, first leg match.
That result has left the struggling Nigerian champions on the verge of another pre-group stage exit after Zamalek eliminated them from the same round in the 2017 CAF Champions League in March that saw them relegated to the Confederation Cup.
Enugu are also rooted at the bottom of the Nigeria Premier League table in 20th place with 13 points from 14 matches played.
Meanwhile, Enugu and Zesco head to Ndola for this Saturday’s final leg decider at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
A scoreless draw will suffice to see Zesco through to the group stage that kicks off this May.
