Napsa Stars hopes of staying to were dashed at Power Dynamos while big spending Buildcon’s elusive search for a debut FAZ Super Division win continues.
POWER DYNAMOS 1- NAPSA STARS 0
Power Dynamos denied ex-coach Tennant Chilumba his first win over his former charges since he was sacked last May.
Napsa came into the match very determined to end their 9-match winless run against Power that included a 2-1 home loss for Chilumba last July in Lusaka.
Sadly, striker Jimmy Chisenga had the last say with an 85th minute goal that broke Napsa’s hearts after a riveting toe-to-toe clash at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Power have 4 points from two games while Napsa have 3 points from two games.
FOREST 1- REAL NAKONDE 1
Real Nakonde recorded their debut goal in the 2017 FAZ Super Division when they rallied to finish 1-1 away to Forest Rangers at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Green Mumba put Forest ahead in the 84th minute but Danny Silavwe equalised deep into stoppage time.
Nakonde have 2 points from as many games played while Forest recovered from their opening day 1-0 away loss at Lumwana to earn their first point of the campaign.
BUILCON 0- KABWE WARRIORS 0
Buildcon collected another scoreless draw a week after finishing 0-0 away to fellow newcomers Nakonde.
The draw was also Warriors’s second after drawing 2-2 at home with Nkwazi last weekend.
1-1, 1-0, 0-0 scoreline are not inspiring for the local league. Larger margin scoreline are needed as they imply sharp strikers translating into positive results at national team level.
