Today’s Message: Take Your Life Back

Share

Today’s Scripture

“…take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
(2 Corinthians 10:5, NIV)

Take Your Life Back

Everyone has days when they feel like life is out of control. Oftentimes, this happens when we allow our circumstances to dictate our thoughts and attitudes. You might say, “Well, Joel, the economy is wreaking havoc on my business,” or “This relationship is just too far gone.” But I say, today is the day to take your life back!

You take your life back by choosing to take your thoughts back. Even though we live in this natural realm, as believers, we are not limited by this natural realm. We can tap into God’s power by making every thought line up with the Word of God. We don’t have to let circumstances control us. Instead, meditate on His Word and let His truth set you free!

Today, as you take captive every thought and boldly declare His promises over your life, you are setting yourself up for victory. You are positioning yourself to partake of His blessing. You are taking your life back and positioning yourself to embrace the abundant life He has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today

“Heavenly Father, thank You for empowering me to live in victory today. I choose to take my life back by taking captive every thought and submitting it to You. Help me live a life that is pleasing to You, Jesus, today and every day in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

  1. The day people accept that religion was created to keep the masses in check will be a good day for humanity.

    • So is it bad if the masses are are kept in check which includes you sir. Man needs to be kept in check because man is naturally evil. Actually God did not create religion. God created man to have a relationship with Him. If you have a true relationship with God, you always look to bring the best out of other people. All YOU NEED TO DO IS KNOW GOD. IF YOU KNOW HIM ALL YOUR WRONG THOUGHTS ABOUT HIM WILL CHANGE.

  2. The bible is a load of utter cat piss. I would rather slit my throat than have to follow a book like the bible which promotes slavery

    • God loves you brother. You may insult Him or insult those who follow His teachings, He still loves you. And as one of His followers I do not even get angry at your outbursts. I know they come from not knowing Him. So after reading this comment I know you are going to be filled with blind rage and respond with anger but I want you to know this. HE STILL LOVES YOU EVEN IN YOUR STATE.

    • No one is angry here. You have again failed to respond to my concerns about your so called holy book. OK I will provide proof maybe that will help for your to persuade me why I should follow a useless book like the bible. Here goes :Leviticus 25:44-46

44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

  3. Mr Nez. It just shows you don’t understand the Bible. There are a lot of highly educated people more intelligent than you sir who saw the wisdom and the power of this Word. Why put a curse on yourself for something you don’t understand. You may insult and swear and curse, THE GOD OF THE BIBLE LOVES YOU. I pray it won’t be too late to find him.

    • When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be punished; for the slave is his money.”
      —Exodus 21:20-21 (RSV)
Not only does the Bible explicitly allow beating your slaves, it allows you to beat them to death, just as long as the slave does not immediately expire from the beating but lingers for a few days before dying. Can anyone dispute the savagery of such a law? Can anyone dispute that a book that teaches such things deserves the allegiance of no good person?
